I could not for the life of me find a thread for people who were going to be going to Houston in the fall, so here we go.
I was going out for the fast track 2009 in Dallas, got denied and put back in the fall applicant pool, then BAM:D, got hit with the shocker last night when I got home from work that I had been accepted to the regular BSN program in Houston.
I'm really excited to start a new chapter and I thought this would be a good way to meet other members of the class before we get there. So shout out where you're from and your background so we can all get to know each other before August!
(P.S.- I've also been accepted to the community college in my hometown, which is closer, cheaper, and probably going to be easier, but I think it would be borderline offensive to turn down such an awesome offer, let me know what you think)
What the Denton lady told me is that it did not matter if you had both shots or had the chicken pox, you still need the titer. Denton told me to go ahead and fax my immunization form to them since all I needed was the titer. She then said have my doctor fax the results to my titer to them to complete my file. If your test comes back negative then you need to get both shots. She even told me that the forms we have are not the updated forms. Crazy I know. Princess, I know this is not making things any better but I just don't want you to miss out on anything. If you want, I would call the number on the immunization form and double check.
I called and left her a message. We will have words. That's who I talked to about my hep b stuff which I didn't need when she told me I did. If I do have to get a titer does anyone have prices for a clinic since I have no insurance. I have no clue where I'm going to get money from for this before may 8

I just left her a message. I'm heated. She didn't tell me I needed a titer if I had the shots already. I hate incomptent people. And the paper said u neither either one. When did the titer rule come into effect?? The paper says nothing about its require if u have proof of immunization
