TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Ok, so a lab coat eh? I don't have mine yet. Should we wear our scrubs if we don't have a lab coat yet?

I'd say go ahead and wear your scrubs since you don't have your lab coat just yet...better to be safe than sorry:)

I will be in my scrubs with no labcoat. BTW, I got your message from Des/DeDee. Thanks for thinking of me! :D

Specializes in Transplant, LVAD, cardiac.

I will do scrubs as well. Lab coats are apparently on the endangered list...

dsilverbear1--i did end up moving about 1.5 miles from campus!

Does anyone know what the kee/Marshall assignment is for Concepts? (Referring to the objectives file under the 'Syllabus/Objectives' tab in blackboard) Modules 4 and 5 are due but i can't figure out what that means! The books is organized by chapters so maybe it means chapters 4/5... HELP!

i must have misread the required reading on the 'Objectives' file. but i still don't know what this module 3/4 is referring to.

Required reading and resources:

Potter & Perry Skills Book. Chapter 20

Potter & Perry Nursing Fundamentals Book, Chapter 35 (pages 686 to 754)

Kee & Marshall. (2009).Clinical Calculations: With Application to General and Specialty Areas, 6th edition. Saunders.

Complete Module 3 and Module 4 (Evolve)

I am just as confused as you are. I have been to the Evolve website and there are no modules for the Perry Potter book or the Clinical Calculations book. I have sent her an email and hopefully I will get a response soon. If you figure anything out please let us know.

BTW, I can't even find the medical calculations lecture on BlackBoard!?!?! Am I going blind or is it posted?

I am having some issues with concepts:

  • I can't find the lecture on medication that she says is posted
  • the "skills" book doesn't even have a chapter 20 (it just skips to 21)
  • what are these modules we are supposed to complete?

Anyone else confused or able to clarify

Haha! Your welcome! Did you like the class?

I'm confused too. I can't find the lecture either. I don't see any modules either.:confused::confused::confused:

Maybe the modules are in the evolve course that they said we would have to pay for. Either way, I am NOT paying $61 until I am certain I will need it.

So... We bring the purple clinical calculations book by kee/marshall to class tomorrow, yeah?

Are we supposed to read something out of the fundamentals book to prep for class?

Damn this is confusing

All I know for sure is that we bring the clinical calculations book. That is all. I know nothing more and I have a headache trying to figure it out. I want to scream...
