TWU Fall 2010

Published

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Fall of 2010? I got this idea from a previous thread and thought I should get one started for this semester, so that we can help each other and communicate with each other?

I have taken the Hesi-A2 and got a 74.8 on it so they didn't even look at my application. I live on campus so any help or information I can give just let me know. I'm excited and feel good about this deadline.

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

Yes, the pharmacology book list is on the ut bookstore website - look for nurs 3813. I paid $160.99 for the health assessments bundle - I did not want to take the chance of having a hard time getting the online access code for the course. I ordered all new books from alternative sources - spent an additional $420.:uhoh3:

I asked her after I passed in the test and she was like "They're due Tuesday so sometime around then." Meaning... Tuesday. But then yall are saying Wednesday so Idk. She loves to wait until the last minute.

No news on the Pharm booklist? Is it online like the Patho one was? I haven't checked.

Interesting...she told me grades were due Wednesday.

I'm confused as to what our schedule will look like including lecture, lab, and clinicals. Anybody got any idea yet? (other than what's posted in WebAdvisor)

I'm right there with you...I logged into my Pioneer Portal account to get a better idea of my Fall schedule but was confused as to when our Assessment lab will take place. I figured we'd find out for sure during orientation.

Assessment lab is a 4.5 hour a week lab. You can either take it from 9am-1:30 or 4:30-9pm on Monday. We will mostly all be taking it at the later time because we have a Concepts lecture from 9-11:50am. Our clinical for Concepts won't be determined until school starts (that is what I was told at Advisement). I believe that is the clinical that they pair us up into groups of ten. I found the above times and days on the syllabus for assessment on BlackBoard.

Hope this helps...and I hope the information is correct.:D

Check the syllabus for Assessment...the 1st day of class has different start times for lecture.

Thanks...I wasn't sure if we'd be going straight to Assessment lab right after Assessment lecture on Mondays:eek:

Looks like we only get a break between Concepts and Assessment Lecture. I gotta get plenty of rest on Sunday:yawn:.

I pray, (like seriously on my knees pray) that the REAL professors of TWU are energetic and enthusiastic lecturers. There is nothing worse than having a professor that ISN'T in love with the subject that they teach. I am not talking about our last experience in patho, but rather other classes I have taken at other universities.

I am excited to begin a passion of mine...no sucky teacher will take that excitement from me. Nursing, HERE I COME!!:yeah::yeah:

Specializes in Transplant, LVAD, cardiac.

I think I may have figured out how to join the Houston Undergrads organization in Blackboard. I found an email that Everett sent to us on 6/12 in my TWU mail that had a link. I had to login to Blackboard first, and then click the link in the email. It had a link that said "click here to enroll." Hopefully that worked....

Got my acceptance letter to Dallas!!! Congrats to you guys, and hope to see some of you in fall!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!! :) That must feel so great! I'm applying to TWU Dallas and Houston for the Spring semester, and I had a question. What was your gpa before you got accepted? I'm at 4.07 with the .4 boost...so that leaves me at a 3.67 without it. Are my chances of getting in good? =/

Ahh, organization is so refreshing! Pharm class is now posted on Blackboard!

BTW, I am FINALLY getting my refund money from summer financial aid tomorrow...life is goooood:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:

I have come to the conclusion that we threw away the TWU debit card. Got another one coming in the mail! Bet you are all glad I won't be bothering you about it anymore.

I'm loving my week of no commitments! Too bad it'll be over very soon..
