TWU Fall 2018 Nursing Applicants

Published

Hey guys, I know it's a little early, however, I decided to start this thread as the application process will be soon upon us.

How are you studying for the TEAS?

Wishing all the best! :)

As far a I know that was specifically for the evening/weekend program for Fall 2017 bc thats what I applied for and what I asked about in my email to her. She also told me that of the 29 applicants who were selected for evening/weekend program that cycle, only 4 of them had no bumps so it is possible to get in without the bumps, but all four had either above average GPA (3.74) or TEAS (87.9) or both. But each cycle is different and some are more competitive than others so i guess it all depends on the applicant pool

Ok! Good to know!

Hello! So I applied for the Dallas traditional program, these are my stats:

Nursing GPA:3.78

Prereq GPA: 3.5

TEAS overall:83.3

Reading:70.2

Math:96.9

Science:83

English: 87.5

I do have the TWU bump, but no previous degrees. The excel sheet says I got 59.6 points

Honestly, based on what people have posted on here and on the last two semesters' blog, I am completely mixed.

My GPA's and TEAS seem below average from what I've seen on here, but my points on the excel sheet are fairly high, and I have triple checked the excel sheet and the directions. I'm just so nervous.

That's because you have the TWU bump and it's adds a good chunk of points to your total

That does sound a little high, with your GPA and your TEAS score. Email an advisor to double check and see if they get the same score.

Hey guys! I'm taking my TEAS on the 26th for the first time. I'm newer to the TEAS because last semester I was focused on UTHealth so I took the HESI and got a good score. I've reapplied to UTHealth for summer and planning on applying for TWU fall traditional program. I'm currently retaking A&P 1 to get an A, which will make my science gpa a 4.0 and a 3.9 overall gpa. It's currently a 3.5 (first semester out of highschool, doesn't study and gets a C lol) Of course I won't be apply to apply this semester for fall but incase I don't get in I'll have it for spring.

I've double checked all of my prereqs (since the prereqs I've done I followed UTHealths) and they match up. I got As in micro, a&p 2, and Chem so I'm hoping the science portion of this test isn't as hard for me! I've heard the TEAS is much much harder than the HESI so I am nervous!

Anyone still waiting to get transferred into TWU? I applied at the end of December and I still haven't been accepted. Getting nervous! The deadline is approaching!

I received a letter via snail mail. I just submitted to Nursing CAS today.

How long did it take you to get accepted as a transfer if you don't mind me asking? I'm still waiting and I applied 12/25.

I received notification via mail also, but it didn't take too long if I remember correctly...maybe 2 weeks at the longest. I would call admission and check on your status since the deadline is approaching fast.

I believe it is on page 4.

Sorry, I don't remember. It may have taken a month, but I applied back in October.

Hi all! I got an email from the TWU nursing program stating my application has been received and they cannot provide any feedback of acceptance, waitlist, or rejection until all applications have been reviewed!

Did you email them first? I ask because the deadline isn't until Feb 1st so people still have time to submit their applications
