Hello! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the college of Nursing at Texas Woman's University. Who already goes there? What do you have left to take? Are you nervous... etc!
My name is Alli, I will start at TWU, not the nursing program, this summer. Moving to Denton with my husband. I can't wait!
Congrats Jooliaghoulia that is what we are all waiting for. So much hard work has paid off for you!!!
I know this has already been said but TWU is based solely on grades. I am unsure what a good grade on the TEAS V is but I got a 75.3 total score - any comments would be welcome. I am unsure if they use your nursing, science and undergraduate gpa like UT Health and Science Center does?? Does anyone know?
Getting into nursing school is such a nerve racking process.
I know a bunch of you are much younger than myself but just a word of advice for all potential students of any discipline. Take every class, college and individual grade seriously because some grades from 1989 (when I first attended LSU) have come to haunt me in the quest to become a nurse. I have worked super hard the last 2 years but the grades I had gotten 22 years ago have kept me from even being considered to HBU and Prairie View A&M. I have also been turned down by UTHSC Houston this fall 2011 and spring 2011.
If I do not get in TWU this semester I will be pursuing my bachelors in biology and then try to get into a accelerated program somewhere but will never give up on my dream of becoming a nurse.
Good luck everyone!!!
Everything happens for a reason and God has a plan for all of us. Our individual paths will play out just as they are suppose to we just have to have faith.
