Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:
Overall: 85.3%
Reading: 87.2%
Math: 96.9%
Science: 74.5%
English: 83.3%
I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.
I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.
Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?

Do they recommend that you guys live closer to campus?
Hi there! Yes I was accepted and have attended one orientation so far, we have another one next week before the semester starts. Long story short, we are in class on campus from about 8-5 Monday's and Tuesday's, the remaining days of the week are dictated by your clinical group and placement, but here is what my schedule looks like:
M: Lectures 8-5
T: Lectures 8-5
W: Lab 2-6
TH: Lab 8-3 for first 7 weeks, clinical site 6:30-6:30 remainder of semester
I'm off from Friday-Sunday. There was no recommendation to live near campus as they have clinical sites all across Houston from Sugarland up to Cypress! The times flucuate and hour +/-, some days I start at 9am, some I end at 4, I just rounded the times to make it a little easier to see about how much time you will be spending on campus/in class/in labs etc
Hi Everyone!!
I just filled out the NursingCAS today (gosh that took forever!). I applied to TWU in November (2019) and accepted as a transfer student.
I've signed up to take patho spring 2020 even though it isn't recommended until you are accepted, but I'm traveling this summer so that option is out (one of the advisors actually suggested taking it in the spring due to my summer schedule). My score is either 58.47 or 64 depending on what chemistry class they decide to use (I had to submit a syllabus and course description for the biochemistry class that I want them to consider). I have a prior bachelor's degree in Biochem and Molecular Biology.
I took the teas for the first time this morning and got a 91.3% overall so I'm happy with that score. Probably isn't merit scholarship worthy, but that's okay.

Good luck with the patho class! Can i ask how long it took for you to get accepted? Mine's been ready for review since November. I assume that when you get accepted that status just changes.

I applied 11/14 (for the spring semester). Confirmation that all documents were sent on 11/17. Received an email on 11/19 with my student ID # and that they received all my documents. I then just started checking by logging into the portal and it changed to accepted on 11/22. A week later I received a letter in the mail.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense, it seems like the people who put in for the spring semester got processed pretty fast. Someone else in the thread had the same experience.

I would give admissions a call on Monday if you still haven't heard anything. ?

Those are awesome stats, I’m sure you’ll get in! Are you going the traditional or weekend/evening route for Dallas?

Traditional. I think that would give me the best chance to spend time with my husband and high school son. Traditional is more competitive though, right?
I submitted the application last night. Now the long wait begins. I don't think the fall of 2019 found out until the end of March. ?

It is more competitive, but I think you'll be fine with your score.
I submitted mine this past weekend as well! I read through the message board for Fall 2019 and I think it ended up being early April (April 2nd or 3rd), but hopefully it'll be quicker this time around. Sounds like last year they were getting used to a new method and it took slightly longer.
