Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:
Overall: 85.3%
Reading: 87.2%
Math: 96.9%
Science: 74.5%
English: 83.3%
I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.
I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.
Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?
Hi all.
a lot of people I know got an acceptance letter yesterday for TWU nursing in Dallas for the traditional program. My advisor just got back to me and said they’re doing letters in waves. I’m wondering if I should my as nervous as I am? I didn’t think they did stuff like this, I figured they’d do it all at once. Is this normal?
Previous non-TWU degree, 85.3 on TEAS. I got into NW with a 39 admission score and very little medical experience! I had completely written off my chances of getting into TWU because of that, and still have no idea why I was accepted. But I'm hoping that this will encourage at least one person who's hoping to get in and had a low science pre-req GPA like me! That's what really dragged my score down.

I think I read that they do it like that since some people will be denying offers

My friend who got accepted into the Spring semester for 2020 said she knew of people who got accepted a week after she did. Same with someone who got accepted into UTMB (I know they are different schools, but she said people got an acceptance a month or so after she did)
I'm guessing it’s because people will decline their acceptance so they start to pull from the waitlist of people.

You can totally do it! I also have 3 kiddos, 11, 7, and 3 years old. I am very lucky that I have a very supportive husband!
