Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
well what about the people who applied to the houston campus and live in the dfw, why didnt they get a letter. but i do see what you are saying. anywho.. my mom says that i can go get a titer done and see if im immune still and that should work. she works for quest diagnostics so ill just do it there.
Yeah. I was going to get a titer done for Hep B but it turned out just getting another round of the shoots which doesn't hurt you was cheaper than getting a titer.
We all should get a letter monday or tuesday. Me, probably tuesday because my mail always runs at least 3 days behind. I'm getting more and more anxious though
There is a series of shots that you have to have current. 3 HEP B's, 2 MMR's, TB skin test ( within the past year), Varicella Titer, and TDP(bosster with in 10yrs). I know that I told my physician that I was applying to Nnursing school and they knew what I needed.
current. meaning as recent. so i would have to get MMRs over again and HEP b. what im asking is. the vaccinations that i got when i was little.. birth until 18 are no good? so i have to repeat them.
and nhoward you only applied to Houston. im sorry im asking all these questions. im just trying to grasp everything. do you know how it all works. nursetobe was saying that she didnt get in for dallas, and if she got in for houston she would decline. so what im saying is, if she did get accepted she would get another letter?
im thinkin i can start clinicals without having to get another Hep series done. the titer is only 15.00 with my insurance.. so i can do that huh? how long do the results take. does anybody know. im sorry i keep repeating myself. im just trying to be able to start my clinicals for EMT, with no problems. im sure they will accept a titer right to show that i have 10 or more antibodies right.
