Hello Princess WannaBe and other special Friends:
Soon we will be going through the same agony we just went through recently as we sat and waited on the letters with decisions that were made for our lives at the moment.
We are all going to be positive through this process again and once again
I am positive, upbeat and excited.
TWU Nursing Program here we come:nuke:
Princess WannaBe and others on the waitlist we are still pulling for each one of you to make into the Spring 09 program. Yes, as we know anything can happen...hang in there:yeah:
Hello to all
My OT session went great! I am eligible to apply for the OT Program Nov. this year.
I know GOD has a special plan and if not this time for Nursing maybe later. I have accepted rejection before and I know I can accept it again for sure.
I can tell you that there were more applicants this time than last time and over half was qualified. I am by no means trying to be neg. but I do believe the Houston folks will be alot safer than DALLAS 4 sure.
NO prob princess!
so here's my question for today. Do they go strictly 80% gpa and 20% net or do they look at overall gpa and net. I've been reading past twu treads and i've read that having a lower net score can hurt you even with a high gpa as opposed to a higher net score and lower gpa. Is that really true?
I think they use the net when two people have the same gpa. So in that way yeah it can hurt. Say for example both u n prettyladie had a 4.0 but u had a 65 on the reading and she had a 90. She would get a seat before you. Hope that makes sense. But you would still get a seat with a 4.0 though
Of course there are alot of people that have 3.0's and apply. They are aware of what it takes to get in to nursing school i guess. not to sound rude, but that unfortunatey isn't good enough.
I was told that a 3.8 right now for houston is good competition. However,... the net score factor always depends. This week went by really quick and I know next week will be the same way. All we can do is pray pray pray
