TWU Dallas Fall 2014 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

This is for students applying to TWU Dallas for Fall 2014 :)

Hey guys! I noticed that there wasn't a Fall 2014 page yet... Probably because its not for another year but I thought I would start one!

I'm currently attending North Central Texas College and I'm about to start my last semester of required prereqs, and I'm taking a CNA class this fall!

I've attended an open house at TWU Denton & Dallas; I absolutely love the campus and the staff seems so friendly! I'm really excited to attend TWU. Hopefully I'll be in Dallas for the nursing program, but if life does not take me in that direction--I'll make my way for a Physical Therapy degree!

I'm sooo excited to start nursing classes and spend time in the hospitals. I'm on this website all the time and I hope there are some people on here applying the same time as me so we can support each other :-)

Tell me about yourself!

Hi sahkar! I'm super excited, and a little nervous, to start the program! I have a few questions: Do you have any study tips to help with the transition from pre-reqs to nursing courses? Is there anything you wish someone would've shared with you prior to starting the program? Have you heard anything about the weekend/evening program?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi txtri02! I'll be doing the night/weekend program also! Looking forward to meeting you!

Likewise ! We have quite a mix in our group of younger & older and people from all different occupations. Enjoy your summer !

Hi,

I know its been a while since this post but I just joined and was looking through everyone's posts. I'm wondering why you are taking Pathophysiology in advance, is that a requirement?

I'm just really new to this and want to make sure I am doing everything right

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Vanessa,

Taking Pathophysiology in advance is not a requirement. It is totally up to you to take it prior to starting the program or not. My reason is merely to lessen the load of classes that I have to take during my J1 semester. I've been told that taking Pathophysiology and Pharmacology at the same time can be very intense.

Oh okay thank you.

You have to take the class at TWU, right?

Just curious if anyone new has been "called up" to fill in vacancy positions since the original selection of qualified candidates for Dallas Fall weekend or traditional programs? Has anyone new been accepted post spring semester?

Is there a FB page?
