Has anybody that applied to TSU's fall associates program heard anything yet?

Has anybody received the information that was 'supposed' to be sent out on June 1st? It still hasn't come to me. I left the nursing dept. a voicemail yesterday and they haven't returned my call yet :(

I received and email from the dept. I have copied the text below. I hope this answers all your questions.

"Dear Nursing Student,

Welcome to the AAS in Nursing Program at Tennessee State University. We are excited about you joining the School of Nursing in August. In the recent letter of admission to which you have already responded, it was mentioned that you would be receiving a packet of additional information by June 1. Please know that the information packet has not yet been distributed.

In our efforts to be as inclusive as possible in sharing information which will help you to be prepared for beginning nursing coursework and clinical this fall, we have been slightly delayed in mailing you the packet. The packet is anticipated to be put in the postal mail by Friday, June 10. Please watch for this postal mail delivery.

Within the packet will be several materials which have very strict deadlines for return to the School of Nursing, so it will be very important that you review the entire packet carefully and proceed in assuring you meet those due dates. Please know that we have AASN Program Advisors available on the main campus to you during the summer, should you need assistance. Please feel free to contact these advisors if you have additional questions. The advisors may be reached at:..."

You are a nerve saver! Thanks for sharing that :)

Got my information packet today, took me over 1/2 hour to 'skim' over it. WHEW! Quite the information but that's a good thing I guess!

Hey guys! I start next month, but will be at TSU and not Vol State.

Can't wait to meet all of you!

Same here, I've already started my reading.. there's a Ton! I'm putting my packet in the mail tomorrow, I'm just now getting my blood test results back...nothing like getting it done at the last minute!

I had my last TB check this morning. I went straight to the post office and returned the packet

Well at least i'm not the only one who got it in at minute... i can finally relax now.

I am attending the 2011 Fall TSU AD Nursing Program at Vol State and I was trying to figure out what reading I need to do before the classes begin. Can anyone help me with this? I would like to stay as far ahead as possible. Thank you.

I need to know that too. I did AandP II over the summer, so have not done any research into that yet

Did you get that big packet of information that was sent out? The one w/ the information about the stuff for the background check, insurance, etc.. I'm going to the main campus so maybe they did it differently. If you got that packet, in there it tells you. I also noticed that on 2 different pages it mentions 2 different version of the clinical skills book.. and of course I had already bought the older one before I noticed that. If Vol State is doing stuff differently than the main campus the reading is probably different.

Vol State and Main Campus follow the same curriculum and syllabus.

Has anyone bought MyNursingLAb for Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing without etext access card? It is like $70 cheap. I am wondering if the h etext is simply the textbook in electronic form. If that is the case, I can save and have the hard copy only.
