Trying for Gwinnett Tech 2014

So I am gunning for Gwinnett techs fall 2014 class and wanted to start a forum for us to show support and exchange info. I am doing my last prerequisite now and am excited to do this. Best of luck to everyone. Lets do this thang!:yes::woot::coollook::rolleyes::laugh:;):up::bookworm:

Hi This is my first time on here. How did everyone do on the Kaplan? I've heard a lot of people getting above 80 so far.

I made an 80 when I took it, my GPA is 3.95 so I'm praying that will be enough to get me accepted but yeah, I heard 2 people got a 91 and 90. The science was definitely the worst for me even though I studied like crazy. Good luck to everyone else who is trying to get in!

Hi, how is your gpa 3.95? One B in the required pre-requisites to apply drops it to 3.8. Just a bit confused.

lol. Yeah, you have to count the correct classes:

Math, Engl 1101, Psych 1101, as well as AP 1, AP1 Lab, AP 2, AP2 Lab, Micro, Micro Lab. A=4 points, B=3, etc. add up total points and divide that by 9 (total of the classes). That will be your standing in GPA.

Well if it's just the pre-requisite classes then I have a 4.0. I graduated from Gwinnett Tech MA program in 2009 and got a B in one of the classes for that program in my final semester, I don't know how it makes it 3.95 but that's what my transcript shows my GPA as. but as far as the Pre-reqs are concerned then its 4.0.

I did well. GPA is good too. I feel pretty confident but hey, gotta stay humble and realize that many feel the same. Its all a matter of patients and waiting now. Just keep looking up your application status and record info for changes in the upcoming weeks. They typically alter info for those who are accepted even if they haven't necessarily given letters of intent yet.

Our status and major changed on banner within about a week of the last person taking the Kaplan last year. I think we got emails a few days later saying we were accepted. They're pretty fast making the decision. Good luck to you all!

Curly q, what was the lowest Kaplan score and gpa that made it in last year? I also heard they accepted a hand full of applicants from outside GTC.
