So I am gunning for Gwinnett techs fall 2014 class and wanted to start a forum for us to show support and exchange info. I am doing my last prerequisite now and am excited to do this. Best of luck to everyone. Lets do this thang!
I know what you mean. I'm pretty hopeful but that doesn't solidify my getting in. I am actually more at peace. This news isn't going to come over night but no matter when it does, it won't change who is or isn't accepted so now I'm not gonna even worry about it. I have other classes and life is still happening so I can't complain. I'm happy testing is over and now I can focus on the now and let the future arrive as I know it will.
I think it will be a while before we can know who is in as some people will be taking the Kaplan on the 1st and 3rd of next month. I have a GPA of 3.94 and I got a 81 on the Kaplan. I am afraid I do not stand a chance because it seems like people did so well on the Kaplan.
Hi there!
It isn't possible to have that as a pre-req gpa. Recalculate the 9 required pre-reqs to know your program gpa.
I think those dates are for the LPN program. I took the test on the last date available (14th.)
If you have one B, thats 3 + 4(times 8). So 3+32=35/9 classes total. Thats a 3.8....9. I think they are keeping it exact to know who truly made higher scores in regards to kaplan points along with gpa points. You do have a very good chance either way. Anything in the 80s is as solid with your GPA as anyone person could wish for. Keep your chin up. Whoooosahh :)
PS: we are, for certain, only using our Pre-req gpa.
I thought they calculate GPA just like they do it in banner only this time for the pre-requisites=GPA=Quality Point/GPA hours
Grade A for 3 Credit Hrs =12 Quality Points
Grade A for 1 credit hour (lab)=4 Quality pints
So if you have A in all the THREE credit hour subjects=3x6= 18 CREDIT HOURS=AP 1, AP2, MICRO,MATH, ENG, AND PYS =12X6=72 Quality points
If you have A's in the ONE credit hour(labs)1x3= 3 credit hours=4x3=12 Quality points therefore the Total GPA =72+12/18+3=4
They just run a query from banner for the current GTC students and it computes the GPA.

I tested on March 10. I am just anxious to know their decision, especially since people seem to have scored higher than in the past.
