So I am gunning for Gwinnett techs fall 2014 class and wanted to start a forum for us to show support and exchange info. I am doing my last prerequisite now and am excited to do this. Best of luck to everyone. Lets do this thang!

Curly Q is correct. There have been several people who got in with the minimum passing score (75) on the Kaplan. Also, the majority of those who have been accepted had an estimated 3.5 or 3.6 GPA. If you are on the higher end of both, then your odds of not getting in are slim. This year IS different in that our group has made the most scores in the upper 80s and the most in the 90s from any other year. So from this year on, the scores for getting in will be a bit more competitive.
I can't supply faculty names on this site but one lady told a friend of mine that this year is more competitive compared to previous years and that even with a good GPA, students need to aim a little higher on Kaplan than what was good previous years. Plus, all of my study group but one person made either in the high 80s or low 90s (as well as their other friends). I heard a few had failed but I dont know exact numbers.
Thanks. I have been following these threads for awhile, and finally joined. I spoke with a faculty member also but it was before the final scores were in. Did you happen to get the number of people that tested? She had told me that there were quite a few that didn't pay and then more that didn't show up for the exam.
How did you guys prepare for the Kaplan and for how long? I plan on applying Fall 2015. Also---do you guys think I should retake one of my B classes. W/ 2 b classes I have a 3.67 but if I retake one of them it will be 3.8.[/quote']I retook a class to get that 3.8. If not I would have also had a 3.6.

How I see it, faculty know exactly what the numbers are and I would think that if many didnt pay and therefore didnt even take the test, that can only make your chances increase as long as you passed yourself. When are you testing or did you this past few weeks with us?

I retook a class to get a 4. I highly recommend doing it. It can only help your chances.

I'm not sure what the lowest was..I know several people who got a mid 70's score on the Kaplan and got in. I never heard what the average was. I never took any classes at GTC before I got accepted so that's not a factor at all.
