Tried the pearson vue trick, got the bad pop-up

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone, i'm new here. I just took my NCLEX-RN yesterday. And yes, i already claim that i failed at 75. I tried the pearson vue trick and I got the "bad pop-up". The moment I answered the 75th question, I felt that I did REALLY BAD because the question was too easy. I don't understand why, I had my saunders, kaplan and Lacharity for my reviewers. (I reviewed for a month) I finished answering the kaplan book (with CD) and Lacharity twice. And for the Saunders, I finished reading the book and answered some questions on the CD too.

I really feel bad for myself, knowing that I had my exam shut down at 75 (the last few questions were on the easy mode) The official result of my exam will be mailed to me after a month. (My state doesn't participate in the 2day quick results) So yeah, I was crying the whole day yesterday after I saw the "bad pop-up". They told me that I should wait for the mail to see the official result, but I have a STRONG FEELING that the pearson vue trick is RIGHT, I failed. I don't want false hopes. I can really tell that I did bad on the test. I feel really discouraged about what happened.

Oh I have one question to ask! How and where will I avail the kaplan online question bank? Is it worth it to avail? Thankyou very much for reading. I hope someone can answer my question and share your experience too!

Yes! That is what EXACTLY happened.

As far as the PVT goes...I have 3 friends that I know of who got the "bad" pop-up and passed. No one, however, gets the "good" pop-up and fails. So don't despair until its time -- prepare for the worst, yes, but hope for the best.

If you didn't pass, please don't beat yourself up. It's hard! But you can do it.

Hey Everyone,

I also am new to the site and am in despair! I took NCLEX yeasterday & have now failed NCLEX twice... I feel like **** and don't know what to do! I've tried ATI & used Saunders Q&A review book, and can't seem to pass it... I've always been a "B" student & know my stuff, but have high anxiety when taking a timed exam. Also, I can't seem to get the SATA questions. I can get most of the answers, but some how always seem to miss one, etc... Also, I think that the ATI SATA questions are easy to figure out compared to the NCLEX SATA... I was going to do the KAPLAN course, but the next course isn't available til January 2nd here in PA... I'm at a loss ppl, let me know what ya think! Anything would be greatly appreciated!

FIRST, you MUST get your test anxiety under control  try deep breathing exercises, guided imagery; if your anxiety feels debilitating, seek professional help.

Next, you must look at the NCLEX in the four categories if becoming a safe, competent nurse: safe, effective care; health promotion and maintenance; physical and psychological integrity. Look at what the question is ASKING you in terms of the four categories.

Start from ground zero.

If you are having problems with SATA, get the PDA book by LaCharity.

Also, try exam cram, alternative format question books, and the NCSBN series....less expensive than Kaplan.

When you are practicing exam questions, aim for close to 70%. Make sure you are practicing enough to prepare for the exam. The closer one is to 70% the higher your chances for passing the NCLEX.

Be sure to hide the clock when you are taking your next exam as well.

Best wishes.

Hey everyone! I used Hurst review online and LOVED it if you are looking for a review service. I took NCLEX for the first time today and almost threw up on the keyboard when my test went past 75 questions. It shut off at 77 after an hour and I got the good ol' pop up screen. I keep checking for the pop up all day to make sure it does't go away :) I took Texas Boards and will see my quick results on Wednesday!

I filled out everything as if I was registering, then got the "good" pop up; if you have the ability for quick results, pay 8 dollars for the quick results, or wait 48 hours and check your BON.

I took nclex RN today and I got a bad pop up. I think that I didn't pass.

yaimealayo, sorry you got bad pop up & went to the CC screen. be angry, depress, cry, get it out your system, then re-group & decide your new study plan. I been there b4, so you can definitely conquer the mighty NCLEX-RN
