Failed NCLEX-RN
I believe in saying "it doesn't matter how many times you get there, what matters is you get there" I recently passed the NCLEX with 265 questions, and this is not my first, or second. It was my 5th attempt but I did it. I don't care what other people will say about how many times I took it, for some it's too many attempt, but for me I never give up because I know that I will be a good nurse one day. Like they have said, you finish nursing school, and you will pass nclex. What I did differently this time was purchased the Lippincott Prep U Nclex 10,000. Did about 4000 questions, and I think this helps me with practicing NCLEX style question. Also look up Prep U pass point, they are a bit pricey but they offer a 2wk trial and you can practice nclex question and it will tell you if you pass or not at the end of the test. I did almost all of the expensive review course but this one saved my life. Make sure to pray before you study and ask Him to give you guidance and enough strength so you can study productively. Keep your heads up, you can do this. If I did it, so can you

Candidate Performance Report CPR
In CA, they usually mail the letter within a week or so depending how busy they are. I just passed my NCLEX, took it Feb. 12, and saw my name on the BON yesterday. I didn't do the PVT, but are you considering doing it? For the mean time, fill yourself with positive thoughts, that's what I did while waiting for the results . And I also pray everyday that God will help me clear up some anxiety while waiting for the results. Hope this helps :)

I'm going out on a limb here...
Hi, I have used Kaplan, Hurst video, saunders strategies and comprehensive book, davis....but what I did differently is purchased the Lippincott Prep U 10,000. I don't know if you heard of it but I bought it at amazon for $89, and you will get access to the website to practice nclex style question, and it also came with the book. This Prep U is what made me pass!! I did about 4,000 questions. It taught me how to practice answering questions and I think that made the difference. Also, I suggest to go find the lippincott pass point, they give 2 wks free trial and you can practice nclex style question. After you take the exam, it will show you if you will likely pass nclex. I also signed up for that using multiple email after my 2wks period ended. I suggest doing that too!

After failed three time of NCLEX
it's not important how many times you get there, what's important is you get there! failing nclex test multiple times doesn't judge you of who you are in the field. I know you guys are already licensed nurses, but please, sometimes it may not sound harsh to you, but for some us, it does. I haven't yet pass my nclex, and I failed multiple time already, but you just don't know what we are going through. I know truth hurts, but sometimes, it just doesn't sound therapeutic....just saying:unsure:

please help
I took the nclex on sept. 8, and did the new pvt trick. yes I entered a valid card. I did not get the so called good pop up and it went all the way to the receipt. They did charged me $200, and after waiting for a week and a half, i found out I failed. I live in cali too. I'm not trying to disappoint you guys but I just want you to be ready. But hoping that you are one of those people who got charged but pass! best of luck!!

Bad pop up, BUT passed the NCLEX-PN!
Congrats! Can you clarify something? When you said you got the "bad pop up" did you submit your cc and got charged? Because everyone trying to do the pvt goes to the cc page and you have to submit it before you get the pop up. Thanks :)

for those who passed with 75, how long did it took you to take the test?
Just want to know, for those who passed with 75 questions, how long did it took you to take the exam? I have failed nclex with 75 questions and took me 3 hours to do it. Does speed matters? I saw a thread here about speed when it comes to answering the questions. Thanks everyone!

need help with priority questions
Hi everyone! So I have a huge favor and help to ask for those of you know who knows the answer. A. for who do you see first, I know that ABC should be considered. but what if the answers are between a 1. sickle cell client complaining of 7/10 pain and 2. post op client (i think it was thoracotomy or something) complaining of difficulty swallowing? I went with the sickle cell client because you always attend to them especially when they are in crisis, but post op difficulty swallowing for that particular surgery is expected right? so what do I choose? is it still difficulty swallowing d/t airway and because pain is psychosocial??? B. how about client with dvt waiting for administration of heparin and have hct of 31% vs. diabetes with 220 glucose??? i would go with dvt d/t circulation, right??? I just need answer to this, just in case I will come across the same question again...thanks everyone, i really appreciate it

took NCLEX 2nd attempt...very dissapointed
Hello all, first off, yesterday was my second attempt to test for nclex rn. The first one went to cc page when I checked the trick, and yesterday, when I check the pvt, it went to cc page again.... I thought I passed the test. There was about 8 SATAs, 1 picture, 3 drag and drop, and the rest were conference on infection control, priorities, delegation, and mostly pharm. I know I had some low level questions, but I manage to put it back up. When number 74 popped up, I prayed that the computer will give me more questions for I have failed on 75 the first try. So the question went on, and based on what I remembered, all the questions from 75-80 was all high level questions. I was prepared to be there for six hours with the max questions, unfortunately, it shut off to 80. I cried when I came to my car, did the pvt, and it went to cc page again. also, is it true that if you missed a math calculation, you will definitely fail, I saw it from kaplan facebook, although kaplan did not comment on it or verified that it was true. I'm just venting, it's just hard to study all over again. I did Kaplan again, my scores were completely different from the first ones, and I also used saunders, but did not really read the book from cover to cover. any thoughts, anyone??

Ca BRN Website License check?
I suggest that you register on the ebreeze, that's what I did. It will basically show your license under your profile after you register.

NCLEX-RN Retest
once you get your "fail" letter, they will instruct you to download the reapply/retest application and you will pay $150. Then you will have to wait a week or so after you send the application and they will give you a new ATT and will be able to schedule your test again. Good luck to you!! sorry, I just re-read your post and you said your eligibility has expired...I agree with the above post, go to the website or call the BRN...
