U.S.A. Ohio

A while ago I posted asking about the nursing program application process at Tri-C. I just wanted to update that I received acceptance into the Spring 2010 semester :D. The process was actually pretty fast. I am very excited. Hope to hear from others that will also start at Tri-C in the Spring.

NewStart2010:yeah:

OK so it seems that most of the people who started nursing school at Tri-C waited about a semester right I am taking 0960 in the summer and 1200 in the fall then I can apply looks like it will be next fall.

if i were you, i would wait until you get your sciences---

chem i & ii

or

bio 1100 (biochem)

(chem i&ii if you are doing your bachelors)

ap1,

ap2 &

micro

done

before you apply. you should apply when you are almost done with ap2 or in micro.

you really ought to have all of your sciences done before getting into the nursing program. you are asking for trouble if you take nursing with a science. jus sayin....

if you have your sciences done, then good for you! i would also look into taking math 1250 instead of 1200. talk to your councelor.

Funny you say take 1250 someone who I work with that is about to graduate nursing this month told me the same thing so I switched to 1250. It looks much easier than 1200 what do u think have u took this class ? I also am almost done with my sciences this summer a&p 2 and fall Micro.

:w00t: GOOD FOR YOU!! I am so happy for you. What campus are you at? At East, I took it with Mike McCraith. He gives you extra credit, teaches really well and is very patient and kind. He turned out to be a good friend of mine as well and will be giving me some tutoring on Nursing math :yeah:

I got through with a high B but math is not my forte. There are things like stats stuff, like "what are the odds of rolling a 3" so you learn about ratios. We also did stuff like with interest, compound and simple interest. There was also some graphing stuff like with algebra but there is only a portion of that. You will be so happy you took 1250. :yelclap: I've told SO MANY people to take 1250 and for some reason, they werent comfortable with it, so they suffered through 1200! oh well.

Again, good for you and GOOD LUCK! You will be so happy you took 1250. Find some students in 1200 and and listen to their nightmares! 1200 is so unnecessary!

Yeah I agree I went to tutoring for math at campus and would see people in there for 1200 struggling:uhoh21: I know Im not a Math person and if I dont have to take that class Im not. I am at Eastern campus and Im taking that class with McCraith as well. Thanks for the advice though I appreciate it. Are you in the program already or starting?:nurse:

Lucky you! You have McCraith. LOVE HIM!!! :loveya: You will be FINE! I took his 1250 on a full course load. Had I taken a lighter load, I may have gotten an A, but oh well!

I am starting Nursing in the Fall! (1300&1450) I am so excited. :yelclap: Orientation is at the end of the month. They are so stingy with the syllabus and the book list. Jeeze.... It's like top secret information. I dont know why....

What days are you taking AP2 this summer?

This is the book for 1300

.......Unless you totally stink at math the math review book isn't really necessary, and neither is the Lab and Diagnostic test book. Nor is the medical dictionary.

How do you know this is the book list for the new semester? Did they post the book list already??

what is the math review book??
