Should i go for ADN or BSN I have one more prerequisite left for the ADN program at Tri-c. I work for a magnet hospital in Cleveland and now for nurse tech's they need to be in a BSN program. I'm confused on what route to go for. Should I get it over now or later. I automately want a masters because I want to teach.
  2. I would have to be honest and say for the most part I love my job. Just like any job there are some things that I could do without like being short. But when there is adequate staff I feel like I can do my job best. I know my responsibilities and like to get them done the best that I can . I feel when we work short I have to cut conrners and I dont like that. I like working with patients that are less furtunate and I like it when I can share some heplful advice with a patient. I sometimes have younger patients that are around my age that are really sick. I am amazed sometimes at how many young people get cancer. However I love when I see patients the next time and they are much better. I really believe that my PCA experience will help me with nursing school and already is. I will be in A&P class and hear about things and say oh that is why we do that? I've been in healthcare a long time and although it is tough I really cant see myself doing anything else. I't is trully rewarding!!!!! :w00t:
  3. Thanks alot guys for the advice I may just make an appointment I want to be sure. I want to make sure also if it will be worth it. Kent's RN -BSN is all online so Im not sure would that be better.
  4. I am looking to do the same thing I want to finish my ADN at Tri-c since Ive came this far and then transfer to CSU and take their BSN program. Your right I work at an area hospital and by 2014 they want 60% of their nurses to have BSN's . I would just do the BSN but it is so much more competitive I think a 3.5 at least. I want to eventually maybe do my Nurse Practioner but for now I have to focus on getting done with point A first. I would go to Kent but I was not real clear on their RN-BSN anyone know?
  5. I agree with some things in you all posts and some things i dont. I am a STNA and I am in nursing school. I believe there are some lazy STNA's and there are some lazy nurses. I think it goes both ways speaking from another point of view. Not makng any excuses for anyone I do my job and take pride in my work all the time. But sometimes it can be that one lazy nurse that thinks she can not help that makes you get an attitude. I would talk to the CNA and see whats the problem maybe it is with you. Maybe you did something in the past. However we need to remember to be adults and TAKE CARE OF THE PATIENTS. Also cleaning a patient is not out of your scope of practice.
  6. I am taking A&P 2 on Tues and Thur I have to take it kinda different b cuz I took it previous to them changing the way they offer it I am going to be taking 233B and 234B. 7. Yeah I agree I went to tutoring for math at campus and would see people in there for 1200 struggling:uhoh21: I know Im not a Math person and if I dont have to take that class Im not. I am at Eastern campus and Im taking that class with McCraith as well. Thanks for the advice though I appreciate it. Are you in the program already or starting?
  8. Funny you say take 1250 someone who I work with that is about to graduate nursing this month told me the same thing so I switched to 1250. It looks much easier than 1200 what do u think have u took this class ? I also am almost done with my sciences this summer a&p 2 and fall Micro.
  9. OK so it seems that most of the people who started nursing school at Tri-C waited about a semester right I am taking 0960 in the summer and 1200 in the fall then I can apply looks like it will be next fall.
