A while ago I posted asking about the nursing program application process at Tri-C. I just wanted to update that I received acceptance into the Spring 2010 semester . The process was actually pretty fast. I am very excited. Hope to hear from others that will also start at Tri-C in the Spring.
NewStart2010:yeah:
How long does it take for school to review my request for admission to nursing? I emailed them the request day before grades were to be poated which was 8/10/11 and today is 21 and I still haven't received the result. I did receive auro reply saying i would receive reply. I'm thinking they send out notices once a month?? And that may be the end of the month.
I'm debating on working four days a week instead of five when I start the program. When we have orientation do we find out what days of the week and time we will have clinicals?
As far as I know, they have an exact day when they open up the lists to register for classes and clinicals, and on that day it's a mad dash to get your desired days and times. At orientation they give you a huge list of things you still need to submit to them before you can start. Once that stuff is in you look at the available times for clinicals and on the day they open up registration you hope to get the times you wanted.
You are better off calling them. Let them know which program you would like to be reviewed for and that should get the ball rolling. It didn't take long for them to review my grades and respond back to me. After they review your grades, they will then email you the information about registering for the entrance exam and background check. When they email you back with that info, get started on that immediately. They send out nursing applications and acceptance letters once a month. So the sooner you get started the better your chances are of getting in for next fall.
Good luck!!
Tri-c will email you the info about the background check and HESI exam at the same time. The company that does the background check is in middleburg heights. They will stamp your receipt and give it back to you. After that you need to submit (either mail, fax, or take it up there) your STAMPED receipt to tri-c. Tri-c wont take your receipt without the stamp.
Do you have to go to specific designated place or just local police station? Tks.
Yes, you have to go to a specific place. I forgot the name, but it is close to Western campus. You sign up and pay online and give them your info so they can start your background check, then you go to their place for fingerprinting. They stamp your receipt that you print home when you pay, and that stamped receipt you send back to Tri-c Nursing. Word of advice, do everything the same day you receive the info. Don't wait. It could mean the difference between getting in for Fall12 or Spring 13. Good luck.
I received the email from Tri-C nursing dept on how to register for HESI and background check. I filled out both applications yesterday and dumped the $85 for the background check. They said it would take a few days before I get a response with the testing dates for hesi. I plan on taking first available. The hesi is also $85, correct? Has anyone had Microbiology at Tri-c western with Johnson? she has a strange first name, I can't remember. I was wondering how difficult the class is.
