It depends on where I am staying. I have my Winbook... but I Hate paying per call charges at a hotel etc. I check first to see if the facility allows or has a line on the internet so I can check my email and do minimal computer checking.
It is another bag to carry if you take your laptop. The last time it just seemed so unnecessary.
I don't travel anywhere without my laptop. Even if you can access the internet @hospital's most hospital's are not happy when you do. They feel you are suppose to be working which is true. I've never had very much trouble getting online. Only once years ago in Kentucky my ISP didn't have a local # had to use the 800#. I also use it to store agency paperwork and I take digital pictures and download them. Take care.

I am considering travel nursing...and getting my ducks all in a row before I accept an assignment...I can't seem to function w/o my computer. I am hoping to use my daughter's laptop, but was curious to hear if anyone takes their pc with them and how that works with the internet. Do you need to sign up with a company?
Thanks,:)
