Hi! I have been working for a year as a labor and delivery nurse and an opportunity is now available in pediatrics-my dream job! How do I change my resume from when I was looking for my first nursing job with only clinical experiences to now having real RN experience? Please help!! Thanks!

Normally, there is a resume heading called "Experience". Under this, you list all of the paid jobs you have had - with the most recent first. Underneath each job, you can include a bullet list of all the duties you had in that job. If you did more than one job for a single employer, cluster them below the organization name - Like this:
BIG FANCY HOSPITAL- Jan 2010 - Jan 2013
Staff Nurse, L & D Jan 2010 - May 2011
* Job duty one (use action words... like "Management of total patient care for actively laboring moms")
* Job duty two
* Department Representative to the divisional staffing council
* Chair, department chart audit committee
Charge Nurse, L & D May 2011 - Jan 2013
* duty
Does that help?

If you graduated school a year ago, you can probably still mention your peds clinical and perhaps your preceptorship if it was in peds. Also include any camp counselor positions, nanny etc if applicable.
