Transcripts: California BRN

Published

Hello,

To those of you who are applying for RN licensure in California, I would like to ask about transcripts sent to the BRN.

Did you only send transcripts from your nursing school, showing all required nursing courses and the degree awarded?

If you attended other colleges before nursing school to do pre-requisit coursework, did you also submit transcripts from those colleges?

I'm just curious, because I was told by an advisor at my school that we only had to send a final transcript from our nursing school, showing that we completed the program. I never sent transcripts from the other colleges I attended. I just read somewhere that this may be required, and it's got me kind of nervous.

I recently took my NCLEX, and I'm waiting for my results.

Thank you

I sent in all of my transcripts. It's a pain in the behind but I didn't want to risk a delay!

You only need to send transcripts from your RN school. I did not end up sending from my other schools and got my RN license last October.

You send in a piece of paperwork with your application that outlines pre-requisite courses taken from other schools.

Good luck!
