I wish my history had included tpapan, but this first! and actually all encounters were just with BON, Finally, after three or four relaspes and revocations.....decades ago...... I finally got my recovery life together stipulations set up, they were were restrictive, but worth every inconvience.....one I learned working the steps, can lead to less laborious living the steps, and yes the "promises" are real........I was fortunate to get a job doing MDS assessments in LTC, A , M-F job, no med administration required, and a DON, RN my supervisor......decades later I'm a better nurse for it...... Appreciative for finally getting it together, and grateful "I can give back today"....... I am grateful for a very self humiliation journey......today I truly am a better nurse for my journey.......it was just me an Tx BON...... Rough road.....but I landed, eventually on my feet........ I know nurses new to recovery feel overwhelmed, trust me it could be a rougher journey.......I wish no one my path.......but recovery works, and there is a "pot of gold" at the end of a rainbow......
best wishes
Thanks guys ! Appreciate the response. Received a letter from the BON yesterday. They want to investigate me because I admitted to an arrest a year ago when I renewed my license. I was not convicted. I made sure they knew that when I sent in my renewal . They renewed my license with no problem but want to come back and investigate me now. I'm so nervous but I know I shouldn't have an issue if I wasn't not convicted . I completed pretrial . What do you guys think?
Hey everyone ! I just wanted to update you guys with what is going on. I received my Board Order from the TXBON and they have suspended my license until 1) I apply to and am accepted in to TPAPN (already done) so I just have to send them my TPAPN Agreement Letter & 2) Take a refresher Jurisprudence class . No big deal. I sent in my paperwork to my investigator for TPAPN and I got signed up for the class November 19. A BIIIIIIIIG sigh of relief. So in the mean time I cannot look for a job until I take the class and my suspension is lifted.

Hey everyone! I'm currently enrolled in TPAPN. I'm a Texas nurse who has had issues with substance abuse in the past. Currently sober for 15 months! I got enrolled this past week. I was curious when your Case Manager started setting your drug screen monitors? Was it when you got a job or before? Thank you for the heads up! I'm only asking because I know it gets pretty expensive and money is pretty tight right now.
