Also the burn unit fascinates me, but I don't know if they hire new grads.

Burn doesn't hire new grads at Torrance?? :sniff: One of the specialties I'm really into! :( Oh well, I'm going to apply anyway LOL!

I've never seen it happen, but doesn't mean that it can't. It's such a small unit, and from what I've seen, the nurses there love it. Don't let that stop you! I think it's way better to go for what you're passionate about, as that shines through in an interview. Good luck! :yeah:

quick update- Torrance updated the website, Versant starts August 22nd and they're only taking 12 people!! good luck everyone =D

I applied to the versant residency position at Torrance on Friday and I just received an email from them letting me know that my application is currently being processed for consideration. Did anyone else get this email? Just wondering if its a standard email that they send all applicants. Good Luck to everyone who applied!

Is this email the same or different from " your application has been received" and "if you dont hear from us within two weeks, assume that we have moved on to other candidates" ?

usRNs, I applied last night and received the first email right after I applied. I received the second email about my "application currently being processed for consideration" a few hours ago. I was on the fence about applying and I am glad I applied last night since the new grad posting is not longer on the website. Good luck to everyone.

I read on this thread that the hiring process include a preliminary interview with the nurse recruiter, if passed, then a panel interview with nurse managers.

Does anyone know the kinds of questions they ask during the preliminary interview and the panel interview? I just want to be prepared.

i'm curious about the panel interview also. do they ask clinical questions, etc?
