hey everyone! i just recently knew about this forum and found one for TMMC so wanted to make a visit hoping that communicating with all of you will help decrease my level of anxiety :uhoh21:. i think i'm constantly looking at my phone/email and biting my nails all day~~~ lol!! well it's really really great to meet all of you!

Does anyone know how many people were contacted for the preliminary interview?

I am not sure the exact number, but my impression is that most of the people were internal candidates. I am not, and did get an interview but was told most of the people hired would probably be internal. Still, that leaves some positions left, I hope. I am keeping my fingers crossed to get a call for panel soon! I love TMMC and would be so happy to work there! :nurse:

I received an email from the recruiter she stated they were only 12 positions open and 10 of them were filled by internal candidates.... I wish u all the best of luck :)

OMG! She said they were filled? We haven't even had our panel interviews yet... That's really good news (for me) and I'm trying to not get my hopes up. :heartbeat

Interesting that they would already be filled since panel interviews have yet to happen and my impression is that all qualified candidates go through that internal or external. Still hopeful since I haven't heard either way yet since my interview with the recruiter on Friday. She mentioned call for the panel would start after today since she was out of the office mon and tues at least that's what she told me.

I only hope she just told me that so I wouldn't feel so bad about not being part of the program just be prepared w more options just in case this is true.... I know is difficult to Find jobs as a new grad I've found a total of 5 which I applied to and was interviewed once & did not make the cut...

@skyapple: look everyday everywhere u think they migh have a job posting that's the only advice I can give... Good luck... I definitely need it

Im starting to really think that I didn't make the cut cuz it seems as if there are so many more better candidates than me.... Only 2 spaces left??? I dunno what to do....

No she didn't just say that, it is true. There are at least 5 of us who were student nurse workers, and then a few CNAs & unit secretaries that all just graduated NS. So don't feel bad. =)

I think for internals the panel interview is a bit of a formality, unless we're just horrible. That's my understanding from what others have told me.

Yeah. I've worked there through NS - it's all kind of surreal and like I said, I'm trying to not get my hopes up and still really prepare for the interview.

Did you already have a 1st interview? Don't feel like people were more qualified, I was told by HR (and it's very understandable) that it's really tough to sort through thousands of resumes because they're all so similar - with the exception of GPA (which honestly, they don't care about- it's way more about personality & passion for nursing) and volunteer activities (which a lot of nursing students have) a new grad is a new grad, we all passed NCLEX and no RN experience. It really just comes down to who you know. Keep searching!!!

Yeahhh....I was interviewed i think on the 7th? Thanks alot jelly221!!! You're so sweet!! )) that really does make me feel better~~~ I'll just keep trying~~~
