For Jelly221: Do they work on Sunday? It sounds like you called yesterday, Sunday, and they answered your call.

Don't know where you got Sunday from, but I called around 2:30 (right before I posted) and spoke with someone I know in HR and was told that my name wasn't on the list of people that were selected. Thanks for the kind thoughts though.

I called too since I was tired of waiting... I also did not get selected. I am super dissapointed. I have a BA and a MA in other fields but an ADN. I don't know if the degree was a factor or not. Now I am trying to figure out my next step. :(

congratulations freshnewnurse and others who made it into the program! and im really sorry to hear about the news jelly221 and rntriathlete~ i was waiting for their call all day today but didn't get one....i didn't bother calling them either cuz i think i was too afraid to face the truth today so maybe i'll give them a call or hope that they'll give me a call tomorrow.... :uhoh3:

I just wanted to let everyone know that it has been a rough 4 1/2 month searching for a job as a new grad, today I received a phone call from Torrance Memorial Medical Center that I was selected for their new grad program. I am an external applicant with no prior hospital experience, if anyone eles have been selected let me know

congrats! i got a call monday just before noon letting me know i got in also. external, BSN from long beach in dec, no prior exp.

got a call from torrance today from HR and informed me that i did not make it into the program :crying2: i don't know what to do...i just feel lost. because i didn't get a call yesterday i was sorta expecting this answer but now that im really faced with the truth, i feel so sad. what am i doing wrong? i guess i need to quickly get over it and start again. good luck to all of you who did not make it into the program~seriously my heart goes out to you all!:heartbeat and for the people who made it into the program, congratulations!!:)

Congrats to everyone who got in! It sucks that there aren't enough slots for everyone, especially after working so hard to finish school. Good luck to you all, thanks for the info Jelly. Are you allowed to continue working as a Nurse Tech even though you are finished with school?
