Hi!!

Has any applicants had a call back yet? anybody got offered a position for March 2011?

Thanks!:D

Congrats guys I'm very happy for u :)....

Today was kind of a good day, I got the panel interview =) and later in the day when I went to get gas I saw a dog get run over by a truck. He has no use of his front left leg and has weak hind legs. I was so angry when I heard the gas attendant say "he's been running around here for about 3 days now." Somebody should have called Animal Control sooner! Anyways, I stayed with him and gave him water until Animal Control came. He will be at the Animal Shelter on Spring st. in Long Beach. I also made a post on Craigslist so that the owner can find him. I hope he is micro-chipped as well...

Good job, kid! I've been rescuing dogs and cats on the streets for years and am always amazed at how stupid people are and how they assume "someone" will take care of these poor creatures. At the very least he's not alone and hopefully will get back to his family.

Woooow!!! Congratulations and GREAT job!!!! The lil doggy looks soo cute~~~

Congrats on the panel interview!! When did you schedule yours?

I hope the dog finds and good home and has a nice recovery.

I scheduled my interview for Friday as well. Good luck to you all!

What is everyone's take on their interviews from today? I thought I did okay but it seemed so SHORT! There were a bunch of things I really wanted to talk about and never got a chance because I couldn't fit it into the questions. Then of course for the questions I got, I keep thinking of other things I should have added. UGH I feel 50/50 about my chances to get an offer. It is going to be a tough wait...

Do you mind me asking what kinds of questions they asked you?

yayy you're done RNtriathlete!! don't worry~ im sure all of the people who were interviewed feel the same as you~ :) so was the interview really 15 minutes long? were there alot of people being interviewed that day? did the panel have your documents (transcript, personal reference, etc.) in front of them?

They didn't have any of our stuff in front of them, so if there's anything you want to highlight, make sure to bring it up. I had my portfolio there for them to look at, and they told me they didn't need to see it.

Thanks so much for the kind words! The interviews were definitely not more than 15 minutes. There were 11 people being interviewed on that day and I think she said just over thirty people will be interviewed in all. Seems like a lot of people for only 12 positions. I am a little suprised they didn't try to reduce the numbers more at the preliminary interview. I do know we are all given a score and the people with the highest scores get positions. Of course I have no idea exactly what they were looking for to get those high scores!! I am sure you will do great!
