Hi!!

Has any applicants had a call back yet? anybody got offered a position for March 2011?

Thanks!:D

I heard is one panel interview & then with unit manager... But not much more after that... How is it brutal? Do they ask many clinical Qs ?

From what I heard, you do an interview with the RN recruiter first...and then a panel interview. I heard from managers that the panel interview is SUPER hard and asks a lot of tough questions. The panel consists of all the managers that are hiring. After the panel interview, the managers choose you.

Oh I see... I hope we can manage I really want to start working already :)

I also check the TMMC website everyday! Nothing has been updated since 5/27. Hopefully they let us know the application plan soon! Good Luck to us all. I've heard the interview process is insane!

They're not going to post anything until July.

That's what it is- recruiter is in HR, then if she approves you, you go on the the panel interview. They do a lot of behavioral questions, and grade all of the applicants on a scale of 1-10. From what I was told, all of the "10s" got hired, and then they had to choose between the "9s".

Are all y'all from around here? I just graduated Friday (yay!) so am hoping to have boards finished in time to be considered for Torrance's Versant.

Hi! How'd you find out that apps will be posted in July? And do we get to choose our unit or do the managers choose us based on our panel interview? That's what I heard from the RN recruiter when she came to my school for a job fair.

Congrats on graduating!

Because I work there as a tech =) I believe they take your choice into consideration, but it also depends on what openings they have available. And then like every job, based on who they've accepted for Versant, the managers choose who they believe would be the best fit for their unit(s). I was told that not everyone who is accepted into/finishes Versant is guaranteed a job; some people may only get part-time positions or "stay in the system" until something opens up if there's nothing available.

Good luck to us all!

I'm interested in either ICU, but would work in PCU as well. Also the burn unit fascinates me, but I don't know if they hire new grads. I really like working there- I'm float pool, so I've been to every unit except NICU. I've had mostly good experiences there, and the not-so-great ones (very few) I think happen in any hospital and were more circumstance than anything.

They do a lot of behavioral questions- how have you handled _____ situation in the past, have you ever had an experience with a patient where _______, how would you interact if your coworker did ________.

Thanks for the congrats, I'm probably not as concerned about NCLEX as I should be. Way more focused on jobs.

Tnx again Jelly221 :)

So I heard that TMMC will be having a new grad program in August and that we must have our RN license by the end of July in order to be considered.

Hope this helps!
