Has any applicants had a call back yet? anybody got offered a position for March 2011? :confused:

Hey guys,

Torrance sent me an email on 2/7/2011 letting me know that I did not make the cut. I called to speak with HR on 2/7/11. I was mainly calling to ask about another job posting that they have there but I grabbed some info about the program.

She said there was an overwhelming amount of applicants and that it was a difficult decision. The HR rep told me that they were done making their selection for those who would be interviewed. She said that some selected individuals had to turn the interview down because they were already hired elsewhere. But even so, they had already contacted everyone that needed to be interviewed. She then referred me to a couple other hospitals in Los Angeles. (Note: I didn't give her my name but I was approaching her as a new grad that didn't make the cut.)

Thanks for info, just a quick question...did you do the panel interview and then receive the email? I called HR yesterday and was told that they were not sending out notices and that panel interviews will continue through next week. Just trying to piece together correct info...

I was never contacted to do a panel interview. I only received the formal rejection email on 2/7/11.

To everyone else don't give up hope, they're still scheduling panel interviews for next week. I know because I got my callback today :)

HR said that you do not need to bring anything else in, unless you need to turn in official transcripts, or any other additional credentials that you didn't turn in during your preliminary interview. Good luck everyone!!!

I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. I was simply giving the information that I had received from HR regarding my personal situation but I can now see that it may have thrown some of you off if you were given a preliminary interview or experienced different circumstances other then myself (not hearing anything from Torrance since applying!) I intend to be more specific in the future.

:D petitefleurRN and others that have landed a panel interview: That is wonderful!!! Congratulations on getting that special call. I wish you a very smooth interview. I am sending you all my optimism and positive vibes and hope you will secure a position in their stellar residency. Keep us posted and thank you for the continued support.

Still waiting for a reply after panel interviews...the waiting game is awful!! Has anyone been offered a spot yet?

When did you do your panel, any word yet?...did the panel say when they would get back to you, if they'll let you know either way? Congrats on your panel interview and everyone else in this waiting game, hopefully we're both selected and we'll be starting next month!

Hey guys,I did my panel interview yesterday and got a call from the nursing recruiter today with an offer. To those who did thier interview and have not heard anything, I suggest calling and asking when you can expect to find out if you will recieve an offer or not. I sent an email this moring asking this and a few other questions. She replied saying she will be in contact with me soon about an offer. I was offered the job a few hours later.

@petitefleurRN: I did my panel on 2/7, but I haven't heard back from them. The panel said I should hear within 2 weeks.

@sunsparkle: Congratulations! I'm going to take your advice and call again tomorrow morning to follow-up. I hope to hear good news!

i have my panel interview tomorrow (2/18) and my impression is that this is the last of the panel interviews. so hopefully that means the waiting game won't be too much longer either!

i'm curious about which units are hiring- does anyone know the specifics? @sunsparkle: congrats on the position! what unit will you be working in?
