Just wanted to say I took the NCLEX yesterday, and I have no clue as to my results. My computer shut off at 75. I had about 8 OB questions....yipes. Also, I had 2 lyme disease, and a black widow spider bite for crying out loud. I had no cardiac, renal, endocrine or anything that I know. I feel that the test was the most random, weird thing I have ever experienced. Who in the heck studies bug bites for the NCLEX? Also, I feel like the amount of ob I had was more than enough. The others were mostly meds I had NEVER heard of. Even my diabetic questions did not mention insulin, just some weird drugs I did not know. They must have been oral hypoglycemic agents or somethings. Anyway, I just needed to vent.
Thanks for listening.
I took NCLEX-RN yesterday at 10 a.m. I stopped at 75,...I had 4 SATA q's. 1 drug calculation, a lot of PEDS, a couple of select all that apply (all about medicines which I have never encountered yet...), I also had OB questions...not my forte!...anthrax, prioritization...you name it!Gosh! this is my 5th time to take the exam...I am so nervous and can't sleep anymore... for me the questions that I had was difficult...I am worried that I did not pass again... I'm from CA, I don't really know how many times I can take the exam here...I miss working. I had to stopped working as RN-IP co'z I failed the exam... It's been 6 months now that I am jobless...I lost my confidence...and starting to get depressed. Is it true that after 2 days of the exam and you haven't found your name on the BON, then that means it's a failure? how many times can I take it here in CA? On that 75 q's...how many should I get in order to pass? help me...

You may be suprised this time. Don't anticipate failure when you may have passed. Be positive.
Good luck and best wishes. Let us know how you did.
I am trying hard to remain calm and positive...but at the back of my mind I am thinking that maybe I didn't make it....do you know this feeling?...like I am getting immune to not passing the test...I think I've lost myself already. I wanna think that I pass, but it's just hard.... I did Kaplan review, the complete course...it helped me somehow, co'z when I first took NCLEX, I am clueless to what strategy is in taking this exam...my 1st, 2nd, 3rd try with the exam, I completely did not take any review course. my manager told me that I will make it co'z of my experience and the way that i worked on the floor... I am not bragging, but colleagues and patients, they like me...I do well on the floor, considering that it's a step down unit of CCU. As RN-IP I was able to handle my own team. I was patient even though I knew that as RN-IP, I must work with a licensed staff under supervision...but I did not refused to my manager...it went well until I failed that exam that I had to stop. These are the things that I missed...and until now I'm still struggling. I hope to pass.....

If is normal for Ca to take anything from 3-10 days or even longer to send results. hang in there and wait for your results

I feel your pain. Don't lose site of yourself and who you are. Be patient, I know that will be difficult especially with California being slower with results. But just think, what if you did great.
Just take some time for yourself, shopping, manicure/pedicure, whatever, do something totally for you. Even if it's just a 30 minute bubble bath. Keep busy with other things that won't get you thinking NCLEX.
Don't assume. Good luck! I'll be praying for you. LOL.:heartbeat
I took my NCLEX last Sept 8 for the 3rd time, computer shut off @ 75 question it's so stressful now to wait for the result I'll keep checking on BRN site to check my name still nothing......I did Kaplan and Saunders review book and if I did not make it I'm planning to take a review course anyway I lived here in Ca anybody knows a best review class I could take when I took nclex last time for LVN I took a review class and pass the board with one try.....this time for the RN I have a hard time anyway thanks for this site even I'm very depressed now this site is very helpful....:banghead:
I too am from California, and took my NCLEX-RN on September 9th, and still haven't gotten my results. I've looked on the CBON every single day, and nothing yet. The more days that pass, I feel less hopeful. I'm trying to stay positive, but like I said as days pass, it's alot harder to. Good luck to you!:icon_hug:

The computer will shut off regardless on number as long as it is minimum number or more and once it has made it determination on the test
