  1. Good for you! Congratulations! Well...with my case, i haven't recived any mail since I took the test last 1/29...last time I've checked the site was 2/3/09. Wehn I did not find my name on the BRN. I've lost interest on checking on the web. I'll just wait for the result in the mail, be it passed or failed. The only option I have right now is to wait...btw I'm from CA.
  2. I'm just wondering?...having no med. calculation on their exam, is that the new trend? co'z I've read that most of the people here on this site did not get any calculation at all (75 q's or more). It's been my 2nd week today, so hopefully I'll be getting my result in the mail today... I don't look at the CA BRN anymore after the the 5th day that I haven't seen my name on their site. I also did not get any calculations, mostly priority and delegation, infection control and 10 SATA's, I stopped at around 108-110 i think... All the best for those who are waiting for their results, including me!
  3. I can relate to what you are feeling right now... NCLEX is like a game, just like the slot machine in the casino, you can never tell what you're gonna get later, make or break...it's just hard...I'd been constantly praying and studying all at the same time but still I don't get it... I am really good when I'm on the floor, I know my basic and principles of nursing... it's just this exam is killing me. I often wonder what is it that's lacking in my effort. I feel like giving up nursing already, maybe it's not meant for me.
  4. It's the 7th day now and I haven't seen my name on the BRN site. A few more days then I'll be receiving my letter. I guess, I have to try Suzanne's plan this time...
  5. BTW thanks a lot for the boost...to all of you.
  6. I tried searching for name again on the site, but still not there...they last updated Feb. 2, Most of the people who passed, said that they've seen their names 2-3 days the most. I have colleagues telling me that if your name is not on the BRN in 5days max, it means that you failed. I was trying to call the BRN but it's hard to get through...the waiting is killing me. But there is no other way, but wait. Life is so hard.
  7. Thanks! you're very supportive. I hope that i could bring you good news next time.
  8. life is so tough right now, with our present economy and etc. i don't wanna make it even more tougher...i just can't continue living like this...this is just too much to handle...and it's hard to get a job here in CA.
  9. I'm from California, I took Kaplan review(live class), i did Saunders and learning extension ... when i left the testing site, part of me felt that i probably passed but now looking at the BRN site, and my name not on it...i suddenly felt that i bombed it again. It's a Monday here in CA and i got up early do my chores and now surfing the net hoping that i could fine something that could lift my spirits so i could start the week right...but now, i feel devastated. Should i call the BRN or not? i can't concentrate anymore with what i am reviewing right now, i just felt that i should start reviewing again. silly huh?
  10. I took my exam 1/29/09, i had lots of priority and delegation q's, pharmacology but no computations, i had probably 10 SATA's, safety and infection control...it was hard. I thought that the computer will shut off at 75...but it did not, so i started to panic...i reached probably 108/109 when the computer finally shut off. I was shocked that it stopped. I'm not even sure if i got the last question right. It was a Thursday when i took my exam, it's Monday now and i haven't seen my name on BON site...well, i guess i didn't make it again. the last time time they updated it was 2/1/09... i am losing hope... i wanna call BON but people say that we shouldn't co'z that would delay the processing of the result. I am continuing my review again and hopefully waiting for my reaaplication form in the mail.
  11. thanks a lot...I just wanna pass this exam sooo bad.... I can only wish for the best.
  12. I took mine this morning, and stopped 108 probably... I had like 8 SATA's, lots of priority and delegation, pharmacology but no meds calculation...It was hard! some of the questions, I haven't encountered yet...Right now, I'm in this position wherein I don't know if I pass or failed it... i don't know what to feel anymore...I'm from California, so I have to wait 2-3 wks for the result... Does this mean that the computer just can't tell i I pass or failed? I' hopeless...
  13. Those are big words from "malenursesrocks"....and I like it, love it! it's very true. i'm on the very same boat, I just got my result yesterday...and again...for the fifth time I failed....maybe, it's not yet time for me. But I'm not giving up...It's true that there are a lot of very good nurses out there, still struggling with the NCLEX exam.....and I know I'm one of those. Braggy, but true....I have friends from work (b'coz I used to work as RN-IP CCU) who still calls me, when they don't understand something on the floor or the training given by the hospital. It's nice co'z they trust me... I have worked 12 yrs in Europe...I am more experienced than some of my other co-workers on the floor... and that is something that they can't take away from me...it's just this EXAM, that's killing me and the others too... being a licensed nurse here in the US doesn't mean that you are a safe nurse....I've seen a lot of errors new registered nurses made on the floor. So, let's keep our faith!we'll be licensed nurses soon!
  14. I am trying hard to remain calm and positive...but at the back of my mind I am thinking that maybe I didn't make it....do you know this feeling?...like I am getting immune to not passing the test...I think I've lost myself already. I wanna think that I pass, but it's just hard.... I did Kaplan review, the complete course...it helped me somehow, co'z when I first took NCLEX, I am clueless to what strategy is in taking this exam...my 1st, 2nd, 3rd try with the exam, I completely did not take any review course. my manager told me that I will make it co'z of my experience and the way that i worked on the floor... I am not bragging, but colleagues and patients, they like me...I do well on the floor, considering that it's a step down unit of CCU. As RN-IP I was able to handle my own team. I was patient even though I knew that as RN-IP, I must work with a licensed staff under supervision...but I did not refused to my manager...it went well until I failed that exam that I had to stop. These are the things that I missed...and until now I'm still struggling. I hope to pass.....
  15. I took NCLEX-RN yesterday at 10 a.m. I stopped at 75,...I had 4 SATA q's. 1 drug calculation, a lot of PEDS, a couple of select all that apply (all about medicines which I have never encountered yet...), I also had OB questions...not my forte!...anthrax, prioritization...you name it!Gosh! this is my 5th time to take the exam...I am so nervous and can't sleep anymore... for me the questions that I had was difficult...I am worried that I did not pass again... I'm from CA, I don't really know how many times I can take the exam here...I miss working. I had to stopped working as RN-IP co'z I failed the exam... It's been 6 months now that I am jobless...I lost my confidence...and starting to get depressed. Is it true that after 2 days of the exam and you haven't found your name on the BON, then that means it's a failure? how many times can I take it here in CA? On that 75 q's...how many should I get in order to pass? help me...
