Took the NCLEX yesterday and I can't HANDLE not knowing...

I graduated from the #1 nursing school in the state, which happens to have a 100% pass-rate for the past few years. Yeah, no pressure, right? WELL, I took the exam yesterday and had the FULL 265 questions. Oh yes. It figures. Not only did it SNOW (it never snows here) the day of the NCLEX, but I also got the full 265 questions. So I know that I got the last question right and the questions were pretty difficult (application/analysis, no straight knowledge). I passed the ATI in the 85th percentile, which SUPPOSEDLY predicts that I'm 99.7% sure to pass the first time, but I can totally see me being the 0.3%. There was stuff on there I had never SEEN. It took me about 2 hours and 15 minutes to finish. I didn't get a break till #235. I went to the bathroom and almost started crying. I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and went in to finish it. I feel pretty good about the last 30 questions and DEFINITELY know I got #265 right... BUT I cannot HANDLE the WAITING game. What does all of this MEAN and is anyone else in my boat? I'm so glad that I discovered this forum. I hope to hear from ya'll soon!!! I can't do ANYTHING right now. Ineffective Coping r/t stress secondary to NCLEX aeb vegetative state and "emotional rollercoaster":(.

Oh my goodness, how did we ever survive back in the day when we had to sit for the boards for two full days and then wait 6 to 8 weeks to find out the results? Our class had to wait about 10 weeks because of a glitch at the state level. Talk about maddening! And to retake it, you had to wait six months, because the testing was only offered twice a year.

My how far we have come! But we have a long way to go, I don't see why you can't get the results within 24 hrs. I can understand the reluctance to give them to you right then and there, don't want you driving home depressed if you've failed, need to verify things, etc...

AndiLynn never came back to say if she passed or failed, it's been about a month.

i'm still waiting... i checked the ca brn website... they still haven't updated the "permanent license" list! i tried relaxing yesterday... but last night... back to this waiting game... sometimes i start feeling as if I failed... sometimes i feel some home... pls. keep me in your prayers.

Hi I just wanted you to know that I too took the exam Thursday @ 9 am and have been checking the pc every hour to the hour to see if the results are posted!

This is my second time taking the exam and I am so nervous and scared that I did not do well- I am having anxiety attacks!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY DID YOU PASS? I took mine yesterday by noon on 7/21/2007 and I haven't gotten my results yet. I can't take it anymore. I am in Kentucky.

Could someone please tell me how long it takes to get the results. Pearsong vue says that they will post the results to the state board within 48-72 hrs and the mail results will not be in until 7-14 days. I just went to check and nothing except when I failed the first time is posted. If I failed the first one, then is that info still supposed to be posted? :scrying: Anyways, this is ridiculous waiting. Before I left the exam, I heard a lady say to someone who was exiting before me "congratulations". Can they do that? :nono:

So, as I was leaving, a man told me "good luck". Does that mean I passed or failed or neither? :sofahider
