So I took my nclex today and it shut off after 75 questions. I don't feel confident at all that I passed. I have this gut feeling I did really bad. Anyway I came home and did the pearson vue trick thing and got a message that said something like "you recently scheduled this exam....contact member board...another registratio cannot be made. I WANT to believe I passed, but I seriously think I failed. I'm not one to feel like this, I never felt this way with any of the excelsior tests. I always knew when I did well, but this is so different. Ugh....how long do I have to wait for the results.

I bet you did PASS! Can't wait to hear that you are an RN!!! Congrats on taking the NCLEX!!! :-)
You can always pay the extra fee for the quick results, that's what I did for my LPN boards, I got them in about 48 hours.

OOohh!! Congrats to you! How long did NCLEX take? How do you feel it compared to EC exams as far as style of questions or more tricky? I don't remember ever reading that anyone felt good after taking it, so don't get yourself down girl :) I have seen so many posts on the Pearson Vue trick, what would your response indicate? Did you have many mult choice mult answer questions? I am just **dreading** those, lol. Don't people usually hear in a week, or you can pay some kind of fee to find out online sooner? I have not let myself get too excited to explore that area but I thank you for coming back and posting for us!! Your CPNE & NCLEX stories are VERY inspiring MissingMyEricka!!

OMG...seriously that test was ridiculous! There is no way to study for it. I made sure I knew my lab values and signs and symptoms of highs and lows, I knew my ABG's inside and out, etc. This test was so random! I wish I would have studied things like psyche and infection control and forgot about the hard stuff! And this new format where you pick "all that apply" sucks! I left that room feeling completely sick! I NEVER felt like this during any excelsior exam. When that screen went blank at 75 questions I swear I almost wet myself! I honestly can't wait 48 hours for my results! I can't take this stress! Ugh!
Oh YUCKY!! I think those multiple choice/multiple answers should just go away How is it fair that there are RNs working out there that never had to be put through those?! Save those for med students, lol. And by the way, my coworker passed and his questions stopped at 75 too
Seriously those questions are soooo hard and I felt like there were so many! On one of the questions I thought only two answers were right but it seemed wrong to only select 2 out of 6 possible answers. I don't know, the whole test just seemed really random. I only had 2 math questions! I totally went over all the wrong things. I'm convinced that this test is a crap shoot and there really is NO good way to study for it. Way too random.
I know what you mean....when I am sitting here spending yet another !@#% 6 hours getting ready for LS3, I am wondering, "Am I going to remember that a child taking phenobarb will need supplements of Vit D & Folic Acid because Phenobarb depletes these for NCLEX".....really?! I mean, side effects of meds...how in the heck is a person suppose to remember ALL of it?!! And that is just one teeny tiny portion. I hate math too, and then I remember reading that those are the easiest on NCLEX because you can actually find out an exact answer. Nuts.
They say the less math questions, the better chance is that you passed.... those are considered the lower level questions and the computer increases the difficulty when you are doing really well :-)

You are an RN. :) Congrats! I know, I felt like a complete idiot after the NCLEX too. I think that's the goal of the test. LOL.

Erica sorry you feel this way. According to everything I have read about the pearson trick.. you have passed ...and you're on your way to becoming an RN.
But if you want to wait to celebrate when you're 100% sure, thats fine.
