took nclex 7/29/13

Published

Phew! Just finished taking NCLEX RN. Finished at 170 something questions. When the computer stopprd I was in shock. Walked to my car, still in shock. I had no idea how I did through out the test. Usually people say they can tell when they're doing bad etc, but I felt like my questions stayed the same difficulty level throughout the test, which worried me a lot. I was preparing to go to 265. I felt very comfortable taking the test, I was familiar with a lot of the questions (thanks to kaplan and hurst). Lots of conference questions and alternative type questions. I'm so relieved it's over with though. I couldn't help but try the pvt, and so far have the good pop up. Crossing my fingers that I see my name on ca bon site. Thank you all for the support, tips and reassurance! time to relax

Just got my quick results: PASS

woo-hoo!

My name just came up on the ca bon site (:

hi! I took mine last May 30 but I did fail, I had lots of conference questions too. Can you give me suggestions about where I can study those "conference questions" more? Im a foreign educated nurse. Thank you :)

Hello! I have never seen conference questions before taking nclex, so these took me by surprise. I think these are more recall/recognition type of questions though. So you would need to improve your content base in order to get these correct. I was able to eliminate two and guess. I also noticed a lot of my conference questions were regarding safety and infection control and health promotion(: I'm guessing the computer adapted to my answers and found health promotion and safety and infection were my weak areas though lol

Thanks for the reply..by the way, I sent you PM :)

taking Q-trainer 7 now will let you guys know how I did.

What are conference questions?

jsanchez--how did you possibly find your name on the license verification for CA BRN? They haven't even updated their license verification page since 7/29, same day we both tested. I've been watching it like a hawk. Technically the 7/29 update didn't even hit until the wee hours of 7/30. And nothing since then. Where are you looking?

I checked my name on this site

http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/wllqryna$lcev2.startup?p_qte_code=RN&p_qte_pgm_code=7800

Also my conference questions seemed like recall/recognition type of questions. Mine seemed to fit under the management/delegation, risk reduction potential, health promotion topics. Sorry so vague, I don't want to break any nclex rules and give out too much info

There's an easier way to find out if you passed in IL before the Quick Results. Just go to continentaltesting.net, click Get Status of your Application then after you submit your info you'll see if you pass/fail.

I just checked my Quick Results an hour ago and I passed!

Ok J...I took q-trainer 7 today and got a 69.81 which then converted to 70. It was tricky lol....I did take breaks because it's long and I notice I do better when I take breaks every 50 questions. I am hoping I will be able to take breaks during test on Monday. I got a 71 on trainer number 6 and then 70 today on trainer 7. So what do you think....is it true those two exams resemble nclex?

Congrats.....must be exciting to see your name posted on the website.
