Hello! Thank you for taking the time out and listening to me vent. I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday and immediately came home after my exam to attempt the Pearson Vue 'Trick'. After my attempt to re-register, I received a pop-up saying, "This candidate currently has test s results on hold. A new registration cannot be made at this time". What exactly does this mean? Did I fail? My computer shut off at 154 questions. I used the dry erase board that was provided to me. Ugh! I can't sleep or eat. This is really agonizing for me. I just need to know so that I can prepare to take exam again.

On hold just means they are reviewing it for whatever reason, nothing to do with passing or failing.
Keep checking, once the hold processes you will be able to do the PVT.
My results are still on hold. I wonder what happened. It's really not a good feeling
I have read of tests being on hold for up to 5 business days, so you may have to wait till Friday.
Did you happen to write on the white board prior to finishing the tutorial?
Sometimes they way you act may flag your exam for review (they watch your video recording, look at your white board and time taken on questions and such).
Now this is my own theory, so no actual proof of this, but if you failed, I don't think they would put results on hold, you would just go to the CC page.
If you passed, they want to review your test/ testing process before giving the passing mark (or letting you do the PVT). I would take it as a good sign so long as you did nothing wrong (not accusing you of anything, just saying).

My results were on hold for a few days, and I ended up passing! I was really nervous about it, but when I looked it up online, it said that they put results on hold if anything abnormal happened during testing, and sometimes as just kind of an audit. Also, someone on here made the point that if you failed, they probably wouldn't bother putting your results on hold and going over your test!

I got the same pop up saying my results were on hold and I am supposed to be able to get my quick results today. could not re-register at this time but I'm convinced I failed. I only got 4 or 5 sata one chart exhibit. This was my second time taking it. I have severe test anxiety and both first and second time it shut off at 75. There is absolutely no way I passed this time and I'm panicking I did something wrong while taking the test. I'm assuming that Pearson vue is down.
Thank you all for you responses. I actually called pearson vue and they said the reason the my silts were on hold was because i had an incident report completed. My name on my id didn't match the name on my att. But the hold was removed. I tried to re-register and it took me to the cc screen! I'm now certain that I didn't pass. :'(
I'm so, so heartbroken and I don't know what else to do. I've already re - registered for the exam. This is the worst day of my life but ill get through it!
Let me tell you from experience is that it does get better! I know you absolutely feel like crap right now but you just have to take about 1-2 weeks off completely to yourself and don't even let your mind wander to the nclex at all. The first time I took the test I took about one week of crying and feeling sorry for myself, and then another week I went on vacation and relaxed and right when I got back I started studying and reading the whole Kaplan book for content as well as doing questions from the Kaplan qbank and from a lippincott q&a book I bought. Both times shut off at 75 questions. The first time I thought I passed and this time I know I did not because I could just tell. The best advice I've gotten is to not give up and keep enduring! Don't let yourself be embarassed or ashamed and don't listen to any criticism from anyone! And most importantly DO NOT give up! You went through nursing school, don't let just one test ruin your dreams of becoming a nurse. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get there, just as long as you get there and you WILL get there, even if it takes you 10 times.
I hope this gives you some insight and makes you feel at least a little bit better. I know all about the feelings of failing. Let me know if you have any other questions!
I just want this hold to be lifted so I can do the pvt and find out if I officially failed. The waiting game sucks!

Your words mean everything! Thanks for taking the time out and listening to my concern. I will just get through today and pick myself back up tomorrow. I just don't even know where to begin. I will need to start from the beginning I guess. This is the worst feeling in the world. Like for real. But good luck to you!!!!! You will be just fine. And congrats in advance. Please let me know how it goes!

I wrote on the white board but only after the test started and when a question made it necessary for me to write something down. I just took the opportunity to write a few things. The lady specifically told me "You have to wait until the test STARTS before you write anything on the board and so I did wait. I didn't really do a brain dump, far from it. I just wrote one or two things downs. We'll see.
