Your test sounds like mine! I took it yesterday and had 19 SATA, lots of OB, and tons of meds. I feel so bad that you guys in California have to wait so long..I don't understand why they can't offer quick results.

I got the good pop up as well and am trying to put my faith in the trick. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

:ancong!: !!!!!

Both of yours sound like mine, I took it today also, I had 15-20 SATA, two sound ones, tons of pharm and endocrine. No OB or peds or psych or drug calc. I had 75 questions also and now Im freaking out wondering if I passed. Did PVT and got popup so hopefully I passed!! I'll keep my fingers crossed too, Im in Idaho so have to wait two business days.

You do NOT need to wait for snail mail to know if you passed in California! All you have to do is look yourself up in the CA BRN's online "permanent license verification" database. If you passed, your name will generally show up in the database within 3 to 4 days, way before you'll get the snail mail.

If you don't show up in the database within 3-4 days, check with your nursing school to make sure they've submitted all of the necessary paperwork to the BRN. In my case, I took the NCLEX so close to my graduation date (11 days later) that the BRN hadn't received my final transcript. Even so, I showed up in the database a week after taking the test, and a week or two before I got my license by snail mail.

Good luck!

Oh I hope you are right about the BRN being quick to post on the website! I just took my NCLEX-RN yesterday in CA and of course am desperate to know for sure if I passed even though I got the "good pop up" on PVT. It just occured to me though that the BRN is only open on the last Friday of the month (budget cuts so no one works on any other Fridays now) and won't be open Monday because it's a holiday... sounds so silly but it's killing me to wait! LOL

Everyone in my nursing school class was able to find out they passed this way within a few days of taking the test. We were told about the BRN website by people who had graduated from our school the year before, and they also had gotten their results within days. Don't know how the current budget cuts will affect how quickly results get posted. Also, they only update the online database once a day -- which didn't stop me from checking it about a bazillion times a day! I know what you mean about the wait killing you! But at least you should be able to get your results that way somewhat faster than snail mail.

This only works as long as you have submitted a SSN. No SSN and no license will be issued therefore no name on website. We have also had members that took longer than 4 days to see their name up on the site. It all varies theses days

How come you got to take your nclex so soon after graduation? In texas, they make it a requirement for the NS to submit an affidavit for graduation (saying you graduated from NS), fingerprinting and all this other stuff before we get the ATT. I still haven't gotten my ATT because my fingerprint images were bad. I've been waiting since early December. :(

I am in Texas. Our school made us start working on graduation stuff right when the semester began. I had fingerprints done and applied to the BON by September 1. We graduated on December 10th and I received my ATT on December 17th. Someone from the nursing office physically drove our affidavits over to the BON. I think that is why I got mine so fast. I am sorry that you are having to wait so long.

I took mine yesterday, too. 75 questions, tons of SATA, 1 or 2 peds and ob, one psych, toooons of meds, mostly meds I've never heard of, haha. I also received the 'good message' with the Pearson trick. Fingers crossed.
