OMG it's over!!
Shut off at 75, good pop-up when I got home. :yelclap:
Question breakdown: 2 drag-n-drop, 2 math, 5 meds... 33 SATA.
I have never heard of anyone getting so many SATA. Trust me, I was freaking out and wanted to cry from the pressure. At one point I had 10 SATA in a row, and they got harder and harder. Then I remembered that that is exactly what the test is designed to do. Somewhere around 55 questions, the questions became all easy multiple choice ones. I knew then that a decision had been made on me by the computer, and it was just giving questions to fill out the 75. I was POSITIVE I failed. But I didn't!
I used Saunders CD, Kaplan book/CD/trainers, Rutgers Review class.
My Kaplan average was 74-78% on trainers.
Congrats to everyone who has passed.
Don't give up if you didn't. :kiss
Keep studying if you have yet to take it!!

Congrats! I had a ton of SATA as well, but I kept telling myself that it was a good sign. Aren't SATA "harder" or "passing-level" questions? Every time I saw one pop up, I forced myself to remember I was still in the passing range, so to just breathe and try my best.

Congrats! I had a lot of SATAs too. I didn't count but it seemed like it was almost half of my exam!

My friend just took the NCLEX 2 days ago and she had 144 questions and she stopped counting sata after 40! 40! She was sure she failed too... but she passed! God I hope that does not happen to me in a few weeks. And my friend also had 10 sata in a row... the first 10! Anyways, congratulations!!!

I took mine yesterday (6/27). Shut off at 75 questions, and at least 67% were SATA or alternate format (meds, drag & drop, positioning, images, etc.). Nearly all the rest were prioritization questions. Lots of psych and ortho questions, which are my least favorite areas, but the PVT indicates I passed. The first 12/15 questions were SATA, so be prepared if that happens to you. I wish I had practiced more SATA questions, but as long as I passed, I'm not going to stress.
If you did well on the HESI, you'll probably do great on your boards. I felt like it was significantly easier than the HESI.
For preparation, I did ~50 practice questions a day for about a month, making sure to review the rationales for ALL the questions, even the ones I got right and taking notes on what I missed. Some days I did a few more, some days none at all. Getting used to answering practice questions is the way to study, in my opinion. You'll get some content review, but you will mostly get used to the NCLEX testing mode, which is very different from other tests.
