Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your wishes on a successful NCLEX. I went and took the test today. It took me about an hour and I had 75 questions. I took another CAT exam as a prep for NCLEX throuh Silvestri. I passed after 75 Q's. I'm really scared I didn't pass this one, though. A lot of the questions were super hard. I wasn't 100% positive about my answer on about 80% of the questions. I didn't get any dosage calcs. I only got 3 or 4 SATA (Select All That Apply). All the rest were multiple choice. I won't find out until Wednesday. ARRGGHHH!!!

I too found out that I passed today. I've spent over 3 years on this board between lurking, research and now I am able to update my user name to NRSNFL.

I am so happy for you. Congradulations.:D

Congrats to everyone that has passed! nice to hear some happy news for people. I am in my second semester of RN program at ivy tech.... You guys helped give me a little glimmer of hope of what is to come! Take care and i hope all find their dream job and can live financially able!!!:yeah:

Ok so most of you are having nervous breakdowns because you have to wait 2-10 days. When I took it we all had the same number of questions we were packed into a huge room it took 2 days and then we had to wait approx. 6 weeks for the results. Not at all fun esp. not since I had already started as an intern--would have been horrific if I hadn't passed to leave the position.

This is about 25 years ago and I still remember the stress when the envelope came, was it large or small envelope that meant you passed?

Good Luck to all of you and go out and do something fun while "waiting"

Hey, hang in there guys, you got through uni, you'll get through this also.Best of luck to you all. I am an Australian RN & an comming to the states in August, I am currently studying for my NCLEX. Do you have any tips?

Take Care Guys

I'm still a student but I heard from professors that if you only get 75 questions, that's a good thing! It means you passed. When you get more than 75, that means you answered something wrong and the test is adjusting the questions to further test your knowledge.....

Thats what it seems like to me too. Me and most of my classmates only got 75 and we all passed, but then again you still hear of some people who fail at 75 also. It's really hard to tell.:paw:

Ah, sadly....your instructor is wrong. And as you go along in practice, you will see how true that is. Anyhow, I had two friends get 75 and fail....I got 75 and another friend got 75 and she passed. It's a 50/50.
