Published

I just finished taking NCLEX and feel like a failure...I feel like I got easy questions like medication administration, I Know I got them wrong because I blanked out!!! ...I only got 75 questions...I cried on the way home..I got some SATA and a bunch of infection control and some patient teaching...Any advice would be helpful...thanks...Did anyone get easy questions and pass?

they were bad, werent they!!! :( Same here, good nursing student all 4 years, took Kaplan and got great scores and then wham bam...all that money and time gone!!!

Yes- just a fraction of those questions I could use the Kaplan stratagies-- THAT WAS IT. Many answers were (besides the endless SATA questions) were ALL intervention or ALL assessment.

What a waste of money..

Sorry guys, I hate to share negativity. I just feel "tricked" I think.

I took the boards yesterday..Computer shut off at 75 questions and I think u and I had the same test! I could not believe the amount of SATA questions! UUGH! I did HURST Review and thought no matter how much I studied it did not HELP! I feel like crap! I feel the same way, it shut me off at 75 because I got most wrong! UUGH I bet I failed! I cant wait for tomorrow to find out...These 2 days are 2 days I will never forget..

Yup! These two days are TORTURE and qualify for cruel and unusual punishment.

It's 7 am and I woke up feeling sick. I did sleep cause of my good friend Ambien. Just wanting all of you who are going through this hell to know it's almost over and I am putting out good energy for all of you and myself that we pass. From all the posts, I can see that you guys feel the same way. I really want to be a nurse and I really want to help people and get this going already. I'm glad that everyone else feels the same way about their spouses, friends etc, not getting it and driving us crazy. I feel bad for them too though cause it's so hard to just sit and watch someone be so sad and scared. Well good luck and blessed be!!!

Wish I could sleep with your good friend too :-)

You stated it well- I just want to be a nurse, a good one, and help people and get on with the life that I've wanted to have for a while and be with the people I love again instead of "sitting this one out" b/c of studying.

UGH!

glamgal, it depends on what type of med teaching. If it just says what do you teach the patient about taking the med, then its just normal side effect of the medication. But if its specifically asking ," What is the priority follow up, or what is essential to follow up on?" then it is specifically asking what is the priority. Those are the prioritizations becuase you'll be looking for the wrong answers. I believe Saunders and NCLEX 3500 have tons of priority questions that you can build upon. I had like 6-7 med priorities in a row that some were also SATA. Just breathe, hopefully everyone did fine. Trust me, i'm an RN LOL you guys will be posting happy posts about passing and conquering the NCLEX RN, and i'll be here to congratulate all of you. =) good luck to all and remember just relax, you guys have worked really hard

Have hope Claralon! I thought I failed too (with 75 qs and 33 SATA) but I managed to pass. Also, I took mine in Cali on 6/27 and got my results on 7/1....so keep checking the website.

And if you don't see it soon call the BON and ask if your file is complete. You shouldn't have to wait a month.

Best wishes!

rootedredwood,

congrats...im still feeling miserable!!! I've heard that you should be worried if you only got easy questions...it means you failed...thats why I'm so worried. I only got less than 10 SATA which were mainly recall...hopefully I find out soon...

I had 25 SATA and a lot of mine were simple recall...like s/s of easy diseases!! Also, remember that 15 of the questions are control questions and don't even count, so some of your easy questions could very well be those type!!

Most of my SATA were s/s of a certain disease as well. Although I never do well w/SATA questions, I really didn't think they were too hard, at least not as hard as Kaplan's.

oh I really hope so...somehow...some of them seemed easy...and my kaplan instructor told us we should be worried about that because it means we fail!!!!(I hope shes wrong!!!!) THANKS!

Clara,

One of my friends got 3 SATA out of 75 questions and she passed!! I really really really think you passed!! And I bet you think you got the "easy questions" because you are so used to doing kaplan questions, which I think are more difficult than the actual nclex. For now stay calm and try to relax. :redpinkhe
