I took my pn exams this monday 10/03/05, the test shut off at 85 questions. I am very anxious waiting for the results in the mail cause in CA we do not have the quickresults. Also one of my classmate took the test few week ago and just find out that she failed, she got 205 questions, which makes me really really nervous, i can't even sleep anymore.

please help! I need some words of encouragement:angryfire

I am sure you did fine. I actually don't know anyone that has failed when it shut off at 85. Mine shut off at 90. I passed. Only 2 people in my class failed and they went to 205 but retook it and passed. It is a bummer to have to wait to find out by mail. We got to find out in 48 hours. Congrats early to you. Nancy LPN

Hang in there! In many ways this is the toughest part of nursing school......

waiting to hear :chuckle if you passed.....and I'm sure you did. I thought the fewer

questions you answered, the better you did. Anyone know about that?

I took my boards many moons ago....with Flo.

:chuckle :) :) Took all day with an hour lunch break. Exhausting! Think positive. And even if by some chance

you did not pass...the sky will not fall...you can take it again and it

will be okay....it really will. So take a deep breath. Now let it out slowly.

And remember the Little Engine Who Could....instead of "I think I can, I

think I can" your matra can be "I know I'll pass, I know I'll pass".

Best Wishes!

Put the results of the test in God's hands. Remember God made the world in 6 days(rested on the 7th) not 1. So if you did not pass the exam take it again. Stress and Anxiety hurts every nerve in your body;so do not lose sleep over this exam.

I took the NCLEX-PN on 9/29/05 and I am unsure if I passed as well. It shut off at 85 and I felt all the questions were difficult. I am confident about the 2 math questions and some mental health ones, but when I finished, I felt like I had choked. No news yet and it's really a shame California does not have quick results.

I wish you luck and please know that we will do better next time if the results are bad.

Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!

I did not get any maths qu. or the new format qu, mine was a mix of like everything, there was lots of prority, delagation and mental health.Any way i"m just praying to God that i passed.I hope you pass too.

Priority questions are actually the best that you can hope for..........:)

They are considered a higher level question.

Most of my questions were priority questions. I hope that means I did well.

Okay, you really need to calm down. My test also shut off at 85 and I was soooo anxious and worried and kept second guessing myself. The only reason I felt this way was because a coworker of mine graduated 3 years ago, took the test 3 times, and still haven't passed. Each time her test stopped at 85 but that was because she wasn't studying. The first thing you need to ask yourself is : Did my questions repeat themselves? Meaning did you see the same context come up over and over. So far everyone from my class has passed, we even had a girl go up to 205 and she still passed. Think positive, I know being in CA sucks because you have to wait forever to get your results. I took my test on 9/15 got my results back 10/3 and I passed, so you should be getting your results in about 2 weeks. So relax, be calm, and be prepared to callyourself a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

I took my nclex-pn last Friday. I only got 85 questions, no alternative questions and no math questions. I too don`t have quick results in VA. I`m becoming a nervous reck!!! How long do you think its going to take to get them in the mail? I`ve also heard that you can go to the State website and look to see if your license is up there......
