I didn't pass. I got a "D". It's my own fault because I knew I wasn't ready and I wanted to try and pass. Now i have to wait 60 days and pay another $295. Anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare for this exam? I used the TCN guide and A&P Made Incredibly Easy. Obviously those didn't help too well. I'm just not sure how to make the info sink in...it's not like I didn't study, it's a lot of info to absorb. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

First remember that this test covers both A&P I and II. I purchased a good used A&P book on www.half.com. I down loaded the free study guide from EC. I looked up everything that they said I needed to know and wrote it in a spiral notebook. I answered the questions at the end of the chapters. I did this over and over for 6 months and I made an A. I did the same with Micro and made an A.
The rest of the tests I studied only a month or so for but those two required alot of studying to pass. At least for me they did. Also try: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rnstudygroup/ and ask for an invite to the A&P study group. Best of Luck.

Another letter up and you'd be singing praises. It's a hard subject no doubt about that. The two sources you used are real good (so I've heard). I took A&P1 at a local CC and pass with a B- and I busted my behind. I think I'm going to do the same thing for A&P2, I know I can't do this on my own with EC.
I suggest you regroup, talk to someone here who've already pass the exam. Maybe they did something you didn't do, I praise anyone who could pass this subject alone. Try www.istudysmart.com heard their materials for A&P are great!
Wish you good luck next time.:balloons::balloons:, balloons anyway you took a chance.

Sorry you failed.:oThis was a very hard test!!I got a B but that was after studying 3+ months. This is one test that you need to really prepare for.I used Chancellors study guide and Lisa Arends notes.I have taken 5 tests so far, this is by far the hardest!I feel that the practice exam is an absolute must to prepare for this one!Good luck and take your time with this one.

I definitely thought this was the most difficult exam as well, out of all the ones I've taken. I'm so sorry you didn't pass! I used the same materials you did to prepare, as well as a bit of Lisa Arends and the actual textbook. Did you take the EC practice exams?
Ya I took the EC practice exams and did horrible. It just stinks because this is my last gen ed and i was hoping to get it out of the way before the CPNE in March. So I either have to test right before I go, if possible or wait until I come back and hope I pass it the 2nd time. They really should have it broken down into 2 exams. I already have a&p 1 that I took at my local CC but thought this would be the easiest route instead of taking a&p 2 for a whole semester. Looks like I might have been wrong on that one! I just really need to focus on studying for the CPNE right now. I don't really have the time to focus on the a&p except maybe 30 minutes a day.
I suggest you concentrate on the CPNE in March, that's right around the corner. AP will have to wait, until that's done. You need more time than 30 min a day to study for AP.
Questions....can you take the CPNE before you take AP? If you want to take CPNE then finish up one or two gens is that allowed? Also, are you going to take any workshops?
Yeah, you can take the CPNE before finishing your remaining classes.
And aegirl, I agree ... focus on the CPNE -- that's the most important thing right now. Worst case, you can take A&P2 locally after you're successful at the CPNE and have to wait just a weeeee bit longer to sit for your boards.

I'm sorry that you did not pass. But the good thing is, you were able to see the types of things on the test and it gave you a printout on the categories that you need to work on. You still have time and I know that you will pass it on the second try.
