Hi everyone,
I recently purchased Exam Cram to help me with studying, but I can't figure out how to use it so that it really works.
For those who have used Exam Cram--- Do you review the question as you go through Adaptive Tests?? Or do you wait until the end and THEN review everything so that your score is reflective of what you really know?
I want to use the "Try Again" option but won't that just trick the computer into thinking I know the answer when I don't?
UGH I just really want to make the most of it and am running out of time until NCLEX day. Getting frustrated, so I really appreciate any words of wisdom!

I bought the Q&A book, and some questions that were bothering me, I looked at as I went. After like doing that 12 times, I had to force myself to just finish the test I was taking and review them at the end. I have anxiety issues when I take a test and can't get the answer right away, so if you are the same, it's best to try to see how far u can get without looking at the questions and try to build yourself up. It may help a little with anxiety during the test.

i used exam cram 4days b4 my test. at first am really confused on how to use it. anyway, i only completed the passed 1 and not even half of passed 2. then i had 2 stimulated test, shut off more or less 1hr...i like because it's mimic the nclex test style as what others said on this forum too....
i took 1 pretest got low score 61% b4 going to adaptive test, then answered in adaptive test mode, to save time, i make sure to read the right and wrong rationale b4 moving to the next qs.... and just read 900+++ from exam cram....has a minimal typical errors on rationale, but doesn't matter! "perfect book doesn't exist, anyway! they are only made by human being... i give credit on this book on passing 75qs! good luck! you can do it!

I am using the exam cram and I think it's a good study tool. I did 3 pretests before I moved on to the adaptive test. I turn off the show feedback because it gives you a chance to change your answer if you are wrong or check your answer. If you check your answer and you aer wrong and then change it you kind of mess up the grading. After I do all the questions then I go to review answers. Once you click on review answers exam cram stops grading. So while you are in the test you can change answers and it won't give you a true result. I haven't gotten to the simulated exam part yet. I'm still working on Pass1. One you complete 75% of pass 1, the program is supposed to move you to pass 2 and so on.
Hope this helps!

I started going through the questions in the book, but I was finding them pretty easy.
Then I tried the practice exams on the CD (in test mode) and it was much better and more challenging. When doing the CD exams I chose question sets I had not looked at yet.
Overall, it was an OK resource. My Saunders 5th edition and the Kaplan Trainer/qbank questions were better.
I noticed the Kaplan questions were the most similar to the NCLEX.

I would study as I go, the long way around to do it. Unless you want to get an idea, then go through the whole thing and return to study the ones you got wrong. Just decide how you are going to proceed before you start. And good luck to you!
