To go from NICU to OR

I have been a NICU nurse for 1.5 years now and recently moved to a new NICU unit which I do not like. Have not adjusted well to the new unit and their way of doing things plus all the administration issues that are happening bring a negative attitude. I have always liked the OR and did my leadership there in nursing school. How long should I give the new job? And would going to the OR now after NICU be to hard?

It wouldn't be too hard...just learning something new that's all. We have a new nurse where I work that just started in CVOR from labor and delivery.

If your not happy you can always try the OR. If you dont like it there go somewhere else. Or you could prn in the OR to see if you like it.
