To all current and past Massasoit Community College Nursing Students,
What do you like or dislike about the nursing program?
What is the typical day program schedule?
Did anyone get accepted without completing ALL the non-nursing courses?
I plan on applying to the 2015 day program. I have most, but not all the non-nursing courses completed. I plan on completing them during the spring and summer semesters, but I know they will not be considered for the application review. I am looking for any information you would like to share about Massasoit. Thanks

Hi, I current go to MCC but I am in the evening program. A friend is in the day program and this is pretty much the schedule: Mon/Wed/Fri- Lecture Monday and Wednesday either 8-10am or 10am-12pm. Friday labs are usually between 8am-1pm. Tue/Thurs clinical 8am-3pm.
I got accepted without having Microbiology but everything else non nursing completed.
So far, I like the program. The instructors and my clinical rotation this semester are very nice and really helpful. I am happy that I made the choice to go there. Good luck!!
Thanks HopefulRN for the information and congrats on getting into the nursing program. I will be attending an information session this week.
I wish you the best. One other good thing about Massasoit is that they only require the reading portion of the TEAS. :)

I'm in the day program.
- What do I like: we have great instructors who really want us to succeed. I love the program.
- What do I dislike: we've had some communication issues. I think they are getting better at using technology to notify us about things
- typical schedule:
Freshmen Class: Lecture - Mon/Wed in the fall 10AM-12PM. Spring MON/Wed 8-10AM
Labs were Fridays, but not every week.
Clinical: Tuesday and Thursday, but can be Tues/ Fri or other weekdays depending on the schedule of the clinical instructor.
- Acceptance: I applied needing 2 classes to complete. I was rejected. The next time I applied everything was complete and I was accepted. Letters went out mid-May last year.
The rubric was helpful to see how things were scored. It's a great program. Good luck!!!

Hi Does anyone know how many people get put on waiting list?
I want to say 11. I Could be completely wrong tho. did you get wait listed? I know you can call and make an appt. To see # you are on wait list. I have heard thefirst 6 people have a good chance of getting in!
Yes! I am gonna try and make appt! Thanks
They keep a waiting list of 11. Make an appointment to go in, see where you are on the list, and go over your rubric. MAKE SURE to go over your rubric and confirm that you got credit for everything!!! I was #8 on the wait list and while going over my rubric a few errors were found and was then pushed up to #1. I got offered a spot about a week later.
Good luck!!!!!!
