JUST CURIOUS WHAT'S EVERYONES FUTURE GOALS AFTER YALL

FINISH YOUR BSN? WHAT FIELD WILL

YALL LIKE TO BE IN? FOR ME, I WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A

NEONATAL NURSE PRACTITIONER OR A CRNA!!!;) ;) ;)

Hi vanita

Welcome to the board. I start my BSN in the fall as well and then plan to work CVICU or CPTICU for 2-3 years then apply for CRNA school. Good luck and welcome!

Brett

welcome vanita03 :)

best of luck in your classes

If I had to make a prediction right now, I think I'd end up somewhere dealing with cardiology, ICU, or telemetry. I know a particular NP that works with a cardiovascular clinic and I really "want to be her when I grow up." LOL

Hospice is also up there on my list. I would probably stay away from OB and Peds.

I'm going into nursing school with an open mind though....we'll see what happens on the other side. :)

Specializes in Float Pool, ICU/CCU, Med/Surg, Onc, Tele.

I'm keeping my options open too, but so far am interested in home health, oncology, emergency, critical care, and maybe even being a rural FNP. OB & Peds aren't really high on my desire list, but that may change once I get in there and practice.

I'm entering my final semester on Tuesday (final for ADN ... not final in the whole scheme of things!)

My original plan was ADN...BSN...MSN...to midwifery. I'm still trying to decide if the end result will be the same. I am still very interested in OB but don't want to block anything else out, either. Still plan to go all the way with MSN (even at 35 years old already).

I used to want to work in an ER. I'm not sure right now. I do acute care rotation through the ER/ICU this semester, so I hope to see if I could really see myself in that environment.

We did our psych rotation through our state women's prison and state mental hospital -- now psych is verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting! More interesting than I thought it would be. I might could do that...

Overall, today I'd have to say OB is where my heart is. Tomorrow, I may have another idea. hahaha

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU,.

Good Luck!!

Ground Control To Major Tom!!!

Graduated 1 year ago with my BSN and completed my application to CRNA school within the last month. I've worked in the SICU of a level 1 trauma center since the year before I graduated- so I have one year as a tech and a year as an RN.

Good luck to you!

My plan (as it stand right now) is to convert my ADN to BSN ASAP and then after a couple years are under my belt (like maybe 5) I'll apply to MSN/CNM schools in my area! At least that's my dream for now...we'll see what evolves as time goes on!

Specializes in Trauma and Pediatrics.

Welcome!

Brenda

Welcome, vanita! I'm thinking either ICU, trauma, or oncology. I'll be starting nursing school next summer or fall.
