Hi,
To everyone who passed recent nclex-rn, can you please share what helped you best (cd's, printed materials, etc..) ? Where to focus? and how did you study/prepare?
thanks... this will help a lot of us who are scheduled to take the exams soon
Try the Suzanne plan.. it is free and it is good...uses just Saunders!!!
Hi, I'm new and I live in the UK. I have ordered the Saunders comprehensive review and the Q & A books. Some colleagues tell me I need more than one author. May I know if I need more material and how best to prepare for the nclex - RN? I work day shifts and then rotate to nights so am not sure how I can establish a proper routine for study. I've also read about the online study - I'm not sure whether to or not to go online and if I did, which online study to take. I live alone so I shan't have any disturbances. Luckily, we can now take the exam in London and not travel to the US as before. Please throw some light across the big pond. As I'm waiting for the materials, my guts are already in a twist! Please help. Olive.

I only registered yesterday I'll have to look for Suzanne's plan and its information on how one goes about it. I suppose it's on the Home page. Perhaps I'm just having butterflies in the tummy because I've been told that I have to study much more than an American RN as some of the terminology differs from the UK one. Thank you.

You can find Suzanne's plan as a sticky in the NCLEX forum and is called 2008 version of Suzanne's plan and was initially devised for International nurses and has a very good success rate. You will learn more than enough with Saunders and her plan for the RN.
Just to add be aware of retrogression and a wait of a few years at the moment once you have approval of I140. Check out the International forum under the region tab for more info, there is also a UK forum if you fancy popping in :)
ladies and gents you already know the basics or you wouldn't have graduated, therefore all you need is a refresher to be able to answer what NCLEX seeks, go Hurst Review 98% pass rate 1st time I highly recommend *tips* safety, infection control, delegation, assessment, pt. teaching BIG areas in your transition as an RN ...the live, DVD or online review Marlene is GREAT....goodluck~:heartbeat
