Timeline when you graduated

Hello first-year nurses!

I am starting my accelerated program in May 2009. I'm just curious about when you graduated, how soon did you start working, when do you take the NCLEX, etc?

I graduated in May 2008. I took a job as a graduate nurse and started on July 9th. I had a temporary permit to practice. I took my boards on August 5th and passed on the first try! I continued my job but now I'm a registered nurse. I should be off orientation by the end of October. :wink2:

Got my job in April.Graduated in May.Took the NCLEX on July 12th and started work on July 14. :)

Started applying for jobs at the end of January, interviewed until April and accepted a job offer at the end of April. I graduated at the end of May, started working the beginning of July, took my boards in the middle of August and here I am now.

I graduated Aug 7th...took boards Aug 19th and accepted a job Aug 22nd then started working Sept 8th.

graduated the end of june, took my boards the end of july, started working early august.. luckily i already had a job lined up before graduation.. lots of people i graduated with haven't been so lucky finding jobs lately :sniff:

I graduated May 10th, 2008. Took the NCLEX June 16th after studying for a month. I interviewed for jobs before graduation and was hired before graduation. They were fine with me waiting to start work until after I took the Nclex and a vacation in June. I had a 7 week orientation and then started working on my own a few weeks ago. I work days on a telemetry/step-down floor and love it. Good luck!!

I graduated June 11, 2008. I got my IP started and started working/new grad program July 8. Took my boards August 19th, found out I passed the Aug 22 :nurse: Its all gone by so fast!

Started working mid-May.

Passed NCLEX mid-June.

I have now been an RN for 3 months. I love it.

I went overseas for a family wedding between May and July which is why I didn't take the NCLEX right away.

The job took me a while to find. I started applying for jobs in April, and I got hired at the end of August to start Sept 15.
