Timeline when you graduated

Hello first-year nurses!

I am starting my accelerated program in May 2009. I'm just curious about when you graduated, how soon did you start working, when do you take the NCLEX, etc?

I graduated May 9, 2008, took NCLEX on June 20. Was offered and accepted a job in the OR on June 23 that started on July 7. My 90-day evaluation is coming up soon and so far, so good!

I think it's best if take the Boards before you start working. I did not take this advice and have had problems studying because I'm so tired on the days that I work. All of my professors never really said anything about whether you take the boards before or after you start work, but I think looking back it's an excellent idea. Good Luck with everything!

i graduated in june got a job that started in july and took the nclex in august

I had signed my agreement to work back in April, graduated June 14th, took boards July 13th and started orientation July 15th
