I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
I have a question regarding the passport photo. I taped it to my application form and scanned it with my application through the Breeze account. Has anyone ever had any issues with scanning it and uploading it to the Breeze website? Or do they really want a physical hard copy of your passport photo?
Also, is the correct address to mail the fingerprint cards this:
Board of Registered Nursing
ATTN: Michelle Meier
1747 N. Market Blvd., Ste. 150
Sacramento, CA 95834-2979
MAIL FD-258 Fingerprint Cards with $49 payment to:
Board of Registered Nursing

I don't understand how some licenses can be processed already and others still waiting. I submitted mine on May 27th with request for temporary, all paperwork intact including grade transcripts, and still have nothing! The phone system for the BRN, no matter what option you select, cycles you back to the message that call volumes are too high and eventually hangs up on you. Any ideas, please HELP!! We relocated here from Wisconsin and cannot sustain bills very long without my income...and I have lost several job opportunities during this process.
This is exactly what happened to me. I had been able to see the status section on the Breeze site and as of last Friday it disappeared. I still do not have a license number or any other information related to my status, and I did pay upfront for the temporary license, I submitted my application on May 27th. Oh, I hope this means they are truly working on mine. I can't afford to lose any more jobs waiting for this! We moved here from Wisconsin and cannot tread water very long without my income.
Help!I sent paperwork in mid April. My breeze account showed my submission date as May 5th. My breeze account used to say "Pendig; open" until yesterday. Since yesterday, it doesnt show any status and says "no license information available" on top right corner of the page. I see a license number (not new, there has always been a number) and address change section is still available. But why no information anymore? I tried verifying my license to see if I got the Ca license, but no. I have been calling the bon since yesterday with no luck. I am getting worried. Has this happened to anyone? What may that possibly mean? I have been patiently waiting since April, and now all this.

I've been following this thread closely because I just applied for my CA license by endorsement on 7/14. My temporary license just posted today, about 6 weeks since I sent my application in. Apparently things are starting to move at the BoN...Hopefully.
Happy to hear it! So there is hope!! Can you tell us how you went about getting everything in? Apparently it works.
For example... did u apply online or via paper? Did you do the fingerprint cards vs the live scan? Did u send in everything together vs doing parts separable. If so in what order?
It would be very helpful to have an idea of what is most effective.
Thanks!! Enjoy your travels!
So as of today, there is no longer a place on my application where it says "status." What does this mean?!?! Is it a sign, or is it a glitch? LOL
I called that back door number and the lady there refused to look it up for me, she said I have to call the main number. We all know where THAT is going to get me...
Hi msmelissarose,
To answer your question, I applied through my travel nursing agency in the middle of July. It was all done via paper and the fingerprint cards. I sent in the application, fingerprint card, and passport photo in an overnight fedex folder that the agency sent me. Apparently they have someone right there in Sacramento who hand-delivers your stuff to the BoN. That same day, I used Nursys to verify my other licenses. Finally, I sent transcript requests to every college I've ever attended. I only sent the BoN transcript request form to the nursing school I graduated from.
From that point forward, it was just a waiting game. Within a week, my application showed up for the permanent license with a deficiency of "Missing education history". Apparently this is standard. Then, there was no change for several weeks. Around 8/19, I checked the Breeze website and my application for the temporary license showed up. Then, on 8/24 my temporary license posted.
Hopefully that information is somewhat helpful. If you have any other questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
Hi all, I'm really confused about the fingerprints thing. What exactly did I pay for with the 49 dollars? And do I still need to go out and get my finger prints done and sent to them? I requested to get a fingerprints form sent to me. I guess I was under the impression that the 49 dollars was the form for fingerprinting and I'd receive it in the mail but I haven't. Please help, this is the only thing keeping me from having everything complete
Hi all - my TEMPORARY license number finally appeared on Breeze today. Does anyone know when we can expect for the actual temporary license card/form to come in the mail?? My job won't let me start until they have a copy of the actual card.
I didn't check my Breeze account every day. I first noticed that my license number was online on a Thursday (I'd previously checked that Monday with no license) and received the card in the mail the next day on Friday. However, I live close to the BRN, so I'm sure that affected the mail delivery times.
