Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

U.S.A. California

Published

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi guys,

i I just want to post my timeline...

I mailed my application with hard finger print copy on August 5, 2014. My check was cashed August 29, 2015..... In between that time I sent in all my transcripts. My nursing BSN and pre-nursing requisit transcripts.

i paid for a permanent license! I did not pay the extra 50 for the temporary!

My license for california got approved 10/31/2014 approximately 9 weeks since they have cashed my check and 13 weeks total from the date it was mailed ! Not bad for what they say the bad log is! I actually signed up for travel nursing and my 1st assignment starts NoV 17 in the Palo Alto area!!! I'm super excited!!!

For or those who are waiting! Stay patient because it will arrive!!!

Hello,I am back. It's been a while,I finally received the license through mail on 10/31. I went back to the website and found out the issued date was 10/24.So my timeline: 7/15 mail application to CA nursing and transcript, fingerprint cards too.I think the check was cashed on 8/12. Permeant license issued on 10/24.

My permanent license FINALLY got issued on 10-28! Here's my timeline:

Sent app packet off on 7-28. On 7-30, the Cali BON recvd my application, prints and fee. That same week I sent a request for my college to send them transcripts and also sent out the request to have my verification of license sent to them from my current BON.

On Aug 22 app was officially started and updated as "pending" on Breeze.

I called several times and got the same answer that they were working on apps started in June and July, So I figured I wouldn't bother them until the end of Nov again.

10-28 license number was issued!!Had no idea, I didn't get an email or anything. Today 11-4, I get a packet in the mail with my license info! It took a little over two months from the time they started processing my application. I'm so happy it's over and good luck to the rest of you!

What number did you call? I sent my transcripts in September but I did not get the finger print card till oct 31 so I am just sending my packet in. I wonder if I should send my transcript again?

1 (800) 838-6828 is the number that I called..

hey did you ever figure out what the "suspense" meant? i have that message on the california breeze website right now

Carizzal, from what I have gathered reading what others have posted here ( thank you btw to everyone who posted information about breeze and such) it means that your transcripts have been received but not scrutinized or ok'd yet. I had that on mine too, but when the breeze site came back online Monday it was gone. Now it simply says "Pending".

Crap. For those of you who did your livescan or finger print cards AFTER Sept. 7th expect yet another delay!

I'm so frustrated. I called Cali BON and they told me they didn't have my FBI report yet. I said I had checked and my livescan results were returned on Sept. 25th. The gentleman I spoke with said DOJ report was done, NOT the FBI check.

Now I'm confused, so I called the livescan 800 # again. Sure enough DOJ check done on 9-25, FBI report still in process.

I went to the FBI website and it seems on Sept 7th they installed new IT software that is causing 12 week delays in background checks.

Grrrreat!

Thanks for the great info everyone as I just applied for endorsement as well.

I did my live scan on 10/30 while I was visiting California, so I'm hoping for a quicker turnaround than the hard copy fingerprints. I hope they fix the FBI background check issue soon, as I hope my nurssys verification doesn't expire.
